NYX Sensual Eyeshadow Review
Hello People!
What color do you think of when you hear the word “Sensual?” – Red? – Wrong! I used to think so too until I saw NYX’s eyeshadow called ‘Sensual’ 😀 Now, I only think of this gorgeous sparkly-purple-black whenever I think “Sensual” 😀
This was my first purchase from Sephora Delhi and therefore I hold it close to my heart: D Let’s look at some swatches and an EOTD that I have tried for the very first time – so would rely heavily on your comments and thoughts to venture out wearing this look.

Well, let’s just sum it up in a few lines, okay?
- Smoky black – check.
- Purplish – check.
- Glittery – check.
- Instant love – check.
- Totally rocking my world – check.
So, I can safely conclude that this has become one of my most used and favorite eye shadows. The blackish purple shade has just the right amount of glitter and purple undertones to it for creating a nice smokey eye. The glitter doesn’t show prominently when applied on the lids – which is another plus! Looks great as an outer-V color – you may want to refrain from using this as an overall lid color if Goth Barbie is not your thing!
If you want less purple undertones, then apply with a blackish primer underneath – like MAC’s Paintpot in Blackground, or simple kajal. Oh, and this is also the closest dupe for MAC’s Beauty Marked at half the price – so what’s not to love?
Texture:
After MAC and Inglot, NYX is probably my most-trusted brand for eyeshadows – they are super blendable, soft, smooth, and buttery in texture. This one is extremely easy to pick up with a flat brush with very minimal fallout and is easy to apply without uneven patches. The color is deep, pigmented, and shows up even with one swipe.
It stays on for 6-7 hours without creasing when used with a primer and fades just a wee bit after that.

EOTD:
Okay, coming on to my EOTD – if you guys have seen my previous EOTDs, you must know that I like working with bright bold shades, mostly dark colors, and smokey eyes. I have tried to experiment a little with a shimmery white shade in this look and have never ventured outside with this eye makeup – so would look forward to your comments to decide if this looks good on me.
Here it is:
I have used a shimmery white eyeshadow on the entire lid and as a highlighter and NYX Sensual to smoke it out and the usual kajal, mascara – the shimmery white shadow to define the outer corner. That’s it!
