NYX Tinted Lip Spa – Hush

Firstly a BIG thanks for being so appreciative for the previous post. Eye makeup is something that is close to my heart and in the process I learnt a few tips and tricks. Am so glad that I could be of help to the eye makeup lovers, no matter how little it is.
Moving on to today’s review, NYX Tinted lip spa in the shade Hush. I have been longing after these since I spotted Dhara rocking in these. (hi Dhara! Thanks dear….) I picked this up as a random shade and had absolutely no idea about the shade.
My experience with NYX Tinted Lip Spa – Hush
Packaging: It comes in a glossy black packaging; the lid has a transparent top, so it is easy to spot and identify the color. It is cute little balm and will easily fit in makeup pouch. The ingredients are printed on the body and the dates with price are mentioned on a sticker. The base has the name of the shade which comes handy. I would have been happier if it had a color coded sticker but nevertheless.
Texture: the name is quite indicative and the texture is exactly how I was expecting it to be. It is smooth, buttery and glides like dream on the lips. It is actually so creamy that it tends to melt and collect at the sides of the twist up bullet-base. If applied on bare lips as a balm it is perfectly fine but if you want the real shade to show up you need to cover your lips with a nude liner. In that case the lips would definitely feel a bit heavier; otherwise it is a lightweight comforting feel on the lips.
Pigmentation: though it says it is a tinted lip balm I wanted it to be more balmy than pigmented. Probably that is why I was not too hurt when I found the not-so-pigmented nature of this lip spa. If you are used to highly pigmented lip balms this may be a little disappointing. Also the shade is very close to my natural medium skin tone (nc40-42), hence it does not show up on normal application.
Staying power: would you believe me if I say it stayed on me for 8hours? Well it did! I applied it as a regular night lip balm and slept off. The hue and the moisture stayed as it is till morning. Yes I sleep like a very calm person(am not when am awake) so that may be an added point for the longer stay. on sipping and snacking the hue vanishes but the moisture stays. On application there is a minty feel which is pleasant in summers and it is never over powering.

Good one but not my type… I want to ask that I have acne prone and oily skin,my face looks so dull and tanned( though I am fair but it looks 2 shades darker now) … Can I do facials or any home made DIY to make glow. I dont want to take any risks as my engagement is after 2 weeks Plz help! 🙂
