At the beginning of the year, NYX released a whole bunch of new products including the Vivid Brights liquid eyeliners. I couldn’t pick them up at that time because I was in India then and also my local Shopper’s Drugmart just recently started carrying these babies. I usually use bright and bold liners in all colours possible, but pastel shades? I was so intrigued, so let’s get started.

My Experience with NYX Vivid Brights Eyeliner – Vivid Sapphire:

When I was at Shopper’s Drugmart, these eyeliners caught my eye instantly. I was in front of that stand for a couple of minutes, trying to decide which one to get, because I really wanted to get all of them, but then, I decided to go with the two safest shades for coloured eyeliners – teal and blue! Here are my thoughts about the shade “Sapphire.”

Packaging:  This liner is a slim tube of eyeliner with .06 oz of product in it. This liner tube comes in a simple cardboard paper outer packaging. The tip of the liner wand is a fine brush tip, which makes application so easy. The tube is colour coded to the colour of the liner which makes life so simple! The packaging is more or less like the NYC Liquid Liner.

Color:  “Vivid Sapphire” is a muted pastel sapphire shade with cool undertones. It’s nothing like I have ever seen before. Trust me ladies, this colour is super unique and gorgeous. It’s a pastel kind of sapphire which gives a bright pop of colour to the eyelids.

Pigmentation: These are seriously some of the most pigmented colored liners that I have come across. This shade imparts full opacity in just one swipe. The pigmentation is also easy to build on.

Texture: The texture of this liner is pretty watery, but it dries down to a complete matte finish. The formulation is pretty pigmented for a watery liquid liner. It takes two layers for full on opacity and a little longer than normal to dry down completely, which isn’t ideal, but I’m willing to compromise because the colour is so beautiful.

Longevity: You can apply this liner to your lids and forget about it! This baby isn’t going anywhere. If you are a person who has a habit of rubbing your eyes too much, then I do not guarantee anything, but otherwise, the only thing that can make it budge is a makeup remover!

Quality: OMG!! I absolutely love how this liner performed on my eyes. It has all the factors that make an eyeliner a must have for anyone. Right from great packaging to longevity and the unique shade, everything about this liner shouts trendy to me. I do have one more shade from this range, but I am going to get a couple more shades for sure.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase NYX Vivid Brights Eyeliner – Vivid Sapphire?
I really enjoyed this liner as a fun way to add pastels to my makeup routine. I think it’s as must-have if you want to experiment with a shade of eyeliner that you don’t think you’ll wear too many times. All the fun colours are available at a very reasonable price. So, go grab a few shades ladies and experiment with different eye looks! I highly recommend this liner!
