NYX Auto Eye Pencil in Brown Review
Dear Girls,
I am back with the review of another NYX product. It is an eye pencil this time. This eye pencil is not a virgin one. I mean to say, I had used it a few months ago and now it’s untouched and resting in peace in my vanity kit. One day, while I was re-organizing my stuff, I found this and I wanted to share my views with you girls.
So, here we go:

Rs. 225 for 0.22 grams. I got them on a discounted price of Rs. 180 from one of the online stores.
Ingredients:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Synthetic Beeswax, Microcrystalline Wax/Cera Microcristallina, Mica, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Myristyl Lactate, C30-45 Alkyl Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Myristyl Alcohol, Tocopherol, Lecithin, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, Magnesium Silicate, Ferric Ferrocyanied, Glyceryl Oleate, Citric Acid, and Tin Oxide. May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 6 (CI 15850), Iron Oxides (CI 77491), or Red 28 Lake (CI 45410).
My Take on NYX Auto Eye Pencil in Brown:
I never liked using eye pencils that needed sharpening with a sharpener. I am lazy to sharpen the tips and I am not good at that. So, I always look for a mechanical eye pencil like the retractable ones.
The NYX auto pencils are retractable ones. You twist the pen, get the work done, and twist it back again. The eye pencil comes as a sleek black pen with a shiny look. The cap is sturdy and travel friendly. I had dropped this pen a few times, still there is no damage to the pencil. As I said, its quite an old pencil and all the writings on the pen has gone “gayab!”
Coming to the texture, it is smooth and glides easily without any tugging on the eyelids. Its easy peasy to draw. The color pigmentation is not very great, which turned me down. A single stroke will not do any justice, maybe twice or thrice, you may need to. Now, the staying power is again a complaint. It stays on the lids for a maximum of 2 hours, even when applied with a base and slowly starts fading out
I use this brow pencil on my lids and smudge it a little and top up with a brown eye shadow. I don’t find it great to be used as a wear-alone eyeliner. It is probably this shade I have got that doesn’t stand out. My friend has the same pencil in blue and she is quite happy with it.
On the contrary to what it claims, there is no moisturizing or intense color that it gives out and it does not last long. There are plenty of other colors in this range to try and here are a few, Copper 923, Purple 917, Sea Foam Green 908, Electric Blue 926, Acid Green 927, Gray 919, Charcoal 912, Dark Brown.

Pros of NYX Auto Eye Pencil in Brown:
- Nice sturdy packaging.
- Retractable mechanism which does not cause wastage.
- Glides on smoothly.
- Cruelty-free.
Cons of NYX Auto Eye Pencil in Brown:
- Pigmentation is poor.
- Staying power is for an hour or two, which makes me sad!
Do I Recommend NYX Auto Eye Pencil in Brown?
Not really, there are plenty of other good stuff in the market with gorgeous brown hues.

Final Verdict:
When it comes to eye pencil or a liner, it is the color pigmentation and the lasting power anyone would look for and the NYX auto pencils is a big disappointment.

its a pretty color and would be perfect to fill in the brows na especially for girls having dark brown brows

the color is pretty but my eyelids are very oily, and moreover the staying power is so less. i think pencils from other brands turn out to be better..

This shade would not look good on my eyes a bit and the staying power is so bad too 🙁
hey!Even i use it as a brow pencil. i can say that it is my favorite brow pencil. i hardly use it as a eyeliner though. however it is fine as a eye shadow on a casual day. my eye lids are light in color. it might not work well for people with dark lids.
