Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Hi Everyone,

As promised, I am back with a review of the Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner. Organix has different ranges like Moroccan Oil, Coconut Milk, etc., to cater to different types of hair. I bought the Brazilian Keratin Therapy range as it’s the most highly rated and raved about range and its infused with all the “la-di-da” good hair oils.

Price:

I got these from Target and they were about $6.50 each I think.

Quantity:

385 ml for each.

Let’s get down to the review now:

Shampoo:

I am going to talk about the shampoo first and then the conditioner.

Product Description:

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo is an alluring blend of antioxidant rich coconut oil along with lush keratin proteins to strengthen and soften the hair, while avocado oil and cocoa butter smooth the cuticle for straight, strong, tresses, adding a brilliant glow and luminescent shine.  This rich sulfate and sodium chloride free formula smoothes and strengthens your curly or wavy tresses.

Texture:

It’s a honey-colored thick, creamy shampoo that is very easy to spread and doesn’t lather a lot – which is a good sign! It smell so delicious that sometimes I feel like licking it a bit – it smells like coconut and vanilla and the smell lingers on for at least 2 days – I keep smelling my hair while the smell is still there! I have long hair, a little above my waist and I need 2-3 pea-sized pumps to cover my whole hair.

My Experience with Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo:

My hair has become uncharacteristically dry and prone to breakage recently and I am using a lot of oil and shampoos that have oil as one of their ingredients to combat the dryness. This shampoo has done a fabulous job of restoring moisture to my hair without weighing it down. I completely adore this shampoo, as my hair looks shiny, bouncy, and nicely moisturized without being weighed down. The best part is, the effect stays easily for 4 days (yes, I purposely refrained from washing my hair till I could feel the oiliness and stickiness just to see how good this shampoo is!) after which my scalp starts getting oily. It makes hair super duper soft and I can feel the softness in the shower itself! Its very easy to wash off too.

To cut a long story short, I ADORE THIS BABY!

Conditioner Review:

Texture:

The conditioner is whiter, creamier, and thicker than the shampoo and smells as delicious as the shampoo. I was pleasantly surprised to find that its super easy to wash off without leaving with a feeling of ‘Oh, I don’t think I washed it off completely!”

My Experience with Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner:

I love the conditioner as much as the shampoo. They work superbly in tandem with each other and the conditioner does a fabulous job of softening the hair without weighing it down. I have never used it with another shampoo, but from the texture of it, I can see that it would work very well in moisturizing dry hair even when used with other shampoos. Once I have used the shampoo and conditioner together my hair looks sleek, shiny and super smooth and its very easy to style as well.

However, because the conditioner is thick and creamy, I don’t think it would work well on very fine and thin hair.

Packaging:

Both the shampoo and conditioner come in a nice-looking, fat, plump, golden-colored plastic bottle with a flip top cap. The cap is not very sturdy though my shampoo’s cap has already loosened and doesn’t close properly.

The bottles are bulky and not very travel-friendly, but I know that they sell travel-friendly smaller bottles as well, so 🙂

Left – Shampoo; Right – Conditioner

IMBB Rating:

4.9/5 – minus .1 because of the cap 😀

Overall Verdict:

I am in love with this range and will definitely repurchase it once I use these up. People with thin and fine hair may want to stay away from this range, but hey they have a lot of ranges to choose from!  Totally love them and recommend it for people with dry/very dry hair that is not very fine or thin.

I know it was a long review as I was reviewing both the products together – so thanks a ton for reading it!

Hope you found it helpful.

Take care and be good!
