My Experience with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate & Cherry Lip Butter:

Packaging: The lip butter has a white and brown packaging. It comes in an inverted tube similar to Vaseline tubes. It is tiny, pretty and handy as well. It comes at a good affordable price. It also has some variants available so you can pick according to the fragrance you like, but this Dark Chocolate & Cherry one turned out to be the best. It claims to contain cocoa butter, vitamin E and petroleum jelly which are all good for the maintenance of our lips. It does not contain SPF which is a minor con for me.

Consistency and smell: The gloss or lip butter has a consistency rather similar to a clear gloss. It is not that thick so calling it a lip butter would be pretty inappropriate. It glides smoothly on the lips without bleeding. It is a lot runnier than the Vaseline ones. I expected it to be a tinted one. But to my disappointment it has no tint. It was a normal clear gloss. Certainly I did not need this because I recently got a lot of lip balms and glosses without a tint. The smell of the lip balm is the best part about it. It smells like the “Lindt” dark chocolate bar which is infused with the cherry flavour. I must say this combo is just amazing. The scent stays on my lips till the time the gloss stays. I just feel like licking my lips all the time.

Results: The lip butter adds an amazing glossy effect to the lips and makes it look very healthy. Sometimes when you want your eye make-up to stand out this would be perfect to go with. It has a shine which can be noticed from afar. It can also be used over a lipstick to give it that glossy shine along with needed hydration. It does soften up the lips after using it for a week or so. It is excellent for treating chapped lips. You apply it for a night and the chapped lips vanish away the next morning. I think it is a good product for winters for daily application. Overall I would say it would have been a better product if it had a tint to it.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate & Cherry Lip Butter?
Yes, it is a great one for winters. It is one of the best for treating chapped lips. But do not fall for the claims and the flavour because they are pretty okay and nothing extra-ordinary.
Conclusion: Do give it a try in winters as it is cost-friendly! But if you remove the glossy effect and the fragrance of dark chocolate and cherry, it is a mere tube of Vaseline; and you obviously know how much a tube of Vaseline would cost? So this may be not really worth it.
