My Experience with Pond’s Clear Solutions Anti-Bacterial Facial Scrub:
The scrub comes in a sleek, easy squeeze tube. The tube is white in color with detailing on in it in sea green kind of color. The tube has a flip top cap, which shuts securely and makes it leak-proof and fit for travel proposes. The packaging is lightweight and easy to carry. The entire product related information is printed on the back of the tube. Overall, as far as the packaging is concerned, it is very basic and travel-friendly.
The facial scrub has a very mild and non-bothering fragrance. It has some floral fragrance with a hint of mint fragrance. This smell barely stays for a minute or two and fades away easily. So, it will not bother people with sensitive noses at all. The scrub is pearly white in colour and it contains green micro-beads. The exfoliating beads are too tiny and I personally do not like such tiny exfoliating beads.
I like my scrub with some larger beads that give me a feel of proper exfoliation. So, I personally I don’t like this scrub much as I scrub only once a week because scrubbing more than that tends to open my skin pores easily. But those who prefer to exfoliate their skin regularly – maybe thrice a week or more – may find it a good option because it is mild and suitable for regular use.
The texture of the scrub is creamy. It glides effortlessly on the skin and feels creamy and smooth. The formula is quite thick and kind of heavy. I love the scrub with a slight gel-like formulation. The small exfoliating granules do provide mild exfoliation to the skin but are not just enough for my skin type. It does help to get rid of dead skin cells but is not capable of removing blackheads at all.
It creates a rich lather that helps to make the exfoliating session smooth and non-abrasive. Though I personally do not like the concept of fine micro-beads but I feel that this product is specially formulated with herbal clay for acne-prone skin. So, it may help people with acne to get mild exfoliation without hurting the skin. The foamy texture makes the scrubbing easier.
Another con of this facial scrub for my skin type is that it snatches oil from my skin and makes it really dry. My skin feels so stretchy and I have to really moisturize it well to avoid the discomfort. Though it may help people with super oily skin type it does not suit my combination skin well.
The scrub washes off easily. Though it does not leave any residue behind it kind of gives a heavier feel to the skin. Overall, this is just very average kind of product and it does not provide any extraordinary results. My skin does not really feel super smooth or revived. So, I personally dislike this product.
