Hey all!

First of all, I want to thank IMBB and all you wonderful people for this amazing blog.I have learnt so much due to this blog. Coming to my question, I use an under eye concealer in NC45 (Mac Select Cover Up and Mac Studio Fix) and set it with Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark,I have matched myself at MAC many a times and every SA suggests NC45 for me, which I find to be too yellow for me, especially in photographs. Will getting a new concealer rectify this issue?

  1. I had th same issue, was given nc45 concealer by multiple SAs but then few months back i again said th same issue to anodr SA n he said to go for nc42..this is PERFECT for me..initially i was not tat satisfied with it coz i was so used to th yellow-ness..but then after sometime i now realise how normal n better my under eyes look..its yellowness is jst enough to counteract th darkness but once set does not look “yellow” at al but just brighter 🙂 hope this helps u

  2. I use mac studio fix too! And mine is nc 25 or nc 30..even I find it too yellow for me since my skin colour is too light for it
I’m going to buy a peach/pink based concealer
You can do the same if you don’t want the yellow hue in it because no matter what shade you use, mac concealers will look similar cuz they are yellow based concealers

  3. Or alternatively you can go for the nw shades
That might help..I’m not too sure but it’s supposed to have a pink hue in it

  4. i have the same shade, nc45… i set it with a powder in a lighter shade… my chambor powder compact in rr5 suits the best… instead of getting a new concealr for another 1000-1200 bucks, I’d suggest you first buy a lighter (i mean quite a light shade here), maybe from maybelline or lakme for 200-300, and see if it makes the whole look worth it… it works for me this way…

and btw, mac nc44.5 powder also looks good… just that it makes my under-eyes look too perfect!
