Tips and tricks:

Shade:

This lipstick is dark wine in shade with brown undertones with golden sheen.

My take on the Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Lipcolor Shade 90 Top Tier Truffle:

This liquid lipstick is very rich in pigmentation. The applicator helps in easy application and just one swipe is sufficient for the required pigmentation. As the shade is already very dark I never layer it for more intense look. This shade suits my medium complexion well and with this on, I keep my eye and face makeup subtle for a balanced look. Thos liquid lipstick however dries very quickly and when it dried it accentuate the fine lines on my lips and feels very drying. Once applied it dries into a matte finish and if you don’t apply lip-balm on top of it, it feels very heavy and your lips feels as if they are glued to each other. Colorstay range of Revlon is good and generally works for me but I don’t know what is the problem with these lippies- formula wise they are horrible, really horrible. The good thing is that it stays for 4-5 hours easily with a meal in between after which it starts to fade. Again one problem-when it fades it fades very unevenly i.e. some portion of your lip has the colour and other some faded streak of colour which seriously looks patchy and very unflattering.
