Revlon is a name you can trust without any doubt when it comes to make up products. It has some hair care products, which have been in the market for a very long time. Slightly newer addition to the hair care line in India was this shampoo, which is meant for colour treated hair.
How they describe it:
Especially formulated colour protection shampoo with ceramides, MPG molecules and silicones for intensive protection to minimize hair damage. Outrageous colour protection shampoo gently cleanse coloured and chemically treated hair, seals hair cuticles ensuring greater strength and preventing colour fade. It adds volume, softness and shine to the hair.
Wet hair, gently apply the shampoo and lather well. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat use if desired.
INR 225 for 400 ml
It comes in a black coloured sturdy plastic bottle with a flip open top. Overall from the outside, this looks pretty attractive. This was the reason I bought it on the first place.
Shelf Life (as per the pack):
3 years from packaging.
My experience with Revlon Outrageous Color Protection Shampoo :
As I mentioned I got this just because it looked catchy. I got this bottle somewhere in the beginning of last year. I have used the Revlon flex shampoo before which I absolutely hated because it turned my hair extremely dry and straw like. I just took a chance hoping they would have put in some improvement. But boy could I have been more wrong!
The consistency is a bit runny. It smells like a regular shampoo I mean nothing very significant.
It lathers up well and if I may say, “over cleans” the hair. It strips the hair off all the possible moisture. Hair seems so rough and all tangled up right when you are rinsing it out! I mean I had to use tons of conditioner to make my hair somewhat okay. I washed my hair in the morning and at night my mother put oil in my hair telling me I should stop experimenting. 🙁
It really damaged my hair in one single wash! Now the bottle is lying in my shelf and I do not know what to do with it. I don’t even want to wash my brushes with it, as I am scared it will mess them up as well. So ladies, in my honest opinion don’t buy this product. This tops the line in my absolutely hate list!
Pros of Revlon Outrageous Color Protection Shampoo :
1. Lathers well.
Cons of Revlon Outrageous Color Protection Shampoo :
1. Very damaging to the hair. Makes them really rough.
2. Gives Tangles!
3. Has all the bad chemicals you want to avoid on your hair ie its loaded with sulphates parabens.
4. Will take quite sometime to bring back the original texture of your hair after you have used this shampoo.
Will repurchase Revlon Outrageous Color Protection Shampoo ?
Never!! Do not buy this however tempting this might look. It made me cry 🙁
Only because it looks pretty and the company has a good name :/
