So, I am back again with the review of a hair care product! Well, when TRESemme launched their products in India recently, I was already loving my HG Curatio Triflow Hair Conditioner and had already repurchased it. Yet curiosity got the better off me and I got this conditioner from TRESemme’s “Smooth and Shine” range. I got the smallest size available in 100 ml as I simply wanted to see how it would fare on my hair.

Product Description:

This product with vitamin H and silk protein, intensely moisturizes dry, rough hair. For hair that feels detangled, more manageable, soft and smooth**.  **Based on lab test with TRESemmé® Smooth and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner Vs non-conditioning shampoo.

How It Works:

• Deeply hydrates your hair, targeting the driest areas where your hair needs the most moisturisation, for a silky-smooth feel.
• Smoothes rough hair, thanks to its formula with vitamin and silk protein.
• Leaves your hair looking salon-smooth.
• Lightweight formula is ideal for daily home use.

How To Use:

After using the shampoo, apply adequate amount from the mid-lengths to ends.  Leave for 2-3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.  For optimum results, use the TRESemme Smooth and Shine range. Style using your favorite TRESemme styling products.

My Experience with TRESemme Smooth and Shine Conditioner:

I have used this conditioner thrice and I believe now I am ready to review it. The smallest bottle is priced at Rs. 64 for 100 ml which I think is quite affordable. The conditioner comes in a cream plastic bottle with a flip cap. The dispenser is quite good in size and you don’t have to squeeze the bottle for the conditioner to flow out. The texture of the conditioner is pretty thin and spreads evenly on the hair. It has got artificial chemical fragrance which reminds me of other conditioners like Dove, Pantene, etc.

So, the question is does it live up to its claim? Yes, its a good conditioner which makes hair smooth and silky. It also quite helps in detangling of the hair, making them soft and manageable! It definitely is light weighted and does not weigh down your hair. I have quite thick hair which is prone to thinning, but this conditioner did not make them further limp. It does give a little bounce to the hair, nothing substantial though. It did not cause any hair fall for me, so that’s an extra point!

Overall, a good conditioner and does the job well, but for me, it does not beat my HG Triflow Conditioner for only one reason, i.e., it gives that artificial conditioning feeling and has loads of chemicals.

Pros of TRESemme Smooth and Shine Conditioner:

• Makes hair soft and manageable.
• Controls frizz to a certain extent.
• Does not weigh down the hair.
• Does not cause hair fall.
• Tackles rough and dry hair.

Cons of TRESemme Smooth and Shine Conditioner:

• Loads of chemicals.
• Gives an artificial silicon feeling to hair which for me personally is a con, but may not be for everyone.
