I have just realised while writing reviews that I own many Revlon lipsticks. My search for the perfect mauve colour ended with Revlon Plump Sexxy in Violet Attitude because I finally found the perfect shade I was looking to match my dress. Though I do not like plumping lip colors, I simply love this lipstick only for its shade.

My Experience with Revlon Plump Sexxxy in Violet Attitude:

Revlon Plump Sexxy in Violet Attitude comes in a sleek dull gold packaging with a shiny gold band on which “Revlon” is imprinted in black. I like the packaging because it makes it look elegant. The lipstick has a sweet minty smell which vanishes on application. Like most Revlon lipsticks, this one also is very buttery and glides very smoothly on the lips. On application, there is a little tingling on the lips for about 15 minutes.  Its probably the tingling that makes the lips plumper which in turn makes it look fuller and smoother, but the difference is really not noticeable. The lipstick is extremely moisturising and really useful for winters. It definitely makes the lips softer even after it is wiped off.

The pigmentation of the lipstick is quite sheer which I like, but a couple of more swipes and the colour builds but not to give a complete opaque finish. The lipstick starts to feather after an hour of application. A lip pencil holds it into place for a longer time. It stays on for 2-3 hours after which it leaves behind a stain which again lasts much longer than the lipstick itself. It contains no shimmer but yet it gives a beautiful sheen to the lips.

Pros of Revlon Plump Sexxxy in Violet Attitude:

• Very rich and buttery.
• Gives a sheer finish but can easily be built to a semi-opaque finish.
• Very moisturising and softens the lips even when wiped off.
• Temporarily removes fine lip lines making the lips look more even.
• Gives a beautiful sheen without making it look over the top.
• The lip stain stays for a long time.
• Would suit all skin tones.
• Contains SPF 15.

Cons of Revlon Plump Sexxxy in Violet Attitude:

• Sheer pigmentation, so more amount of lipstick is needed for full coverage.
• Does not give full coverage.
• Lips do not look noticeably plumper.
• Feathers easily.
• Lipstick itself does not last for a long time.
