My Experience with Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation:

Packaging: This mousse foundation comes in an inverted tube. The bottom of the tube shows the shade of the foundation, so it becomes easy to pick one that would suit your skin tone. The tube is sleek and small in size which makes it very handy, but at the same time, you don’t get a huge quantity. The tube has a small nozzle which lets out the mousse, but it has to be squeezed hard to get the mousse out since it is a bit too thick. The price is average, but so are the results.

Consistency/Texture/Shade:  The consistency is very creamy and smooth as stated in the description, but it might be a bit dry on dry skin since this is a mousse foundation. The texture makes it glide smoothly on my skin. The foundation does not feel oily or greasy on my skin but might feel a bit heavy and oily for very oily skin. In that case, it’s best to pat and set it with a setting powder to create a matte look. It does not look cakey or “made up” at all. I picked up the shade “True Ivory” and it almost matched my skin tone. There are 11 shades available and for me, so one shade darker would have been perfect. This particular shade would be suitable for fair to medium skin tones.

Results: The foundation brightens up my complexion instantly making it look a lot fresher and smoother. It does make my pores look minimized. It provides medium coverage, concealing redness and minor imperfections. It brightens up the under eye area a little but since it is a bit heavy, I avoid using it for the under eye area which would otherwise make my dark circles grab attention. But this foundation is not something that imparts full coverage, so my acne was a bit visible, but I loved how this foundation transformed the overall look of my skin. It concealed dark and dull skin and added freshness to my face. It does keep my skin matte for a few hours and then the oil starts to come back. The staying power is for 4-5 hours. This foundation oxidizes a bit too after several hours, so this is an okay product, not that great.

I like Rimmel lipsticks and lip liners, but base makeup and eye products from this brand are very average.
