I had recently picked up a few shades from the newly-launched Rimmel London The Only One lipstick range. I have already reviewed the shade “Call Me Crazy” from this range and today, I am reviewing the shade “Cheeky Coral.” Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Rimmel London The Only One Lipstick – Cheeky Coral:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a black plastic case with a slightly pointy architectural design. The cap has the Rimmel logo engraved on it. There is a colored band near the base which matches the actual shade of the product.
The cap shuts tight with no chances of opening accidentally. There is a sticker on the bottom with the name of the lipstick. The packaging is simple yet effective.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Cheeky Coral” is a bright coral pink shade. It is a bold shade which is sure to add a pop of color on your face. I personally liked the shade a lot, but this is a shade which not all will be comfortable to wear.
The pigmentation of this lipstick is quite strong – one swipe is all you need to get a full-blown opaque color on your lips. I would not recommend layering as there is some clumping observed if you layer it.
Texture/Finish/Staying Power: The lipstick has a creamy texture and is quite soft. It applies smoothly and does not drag at all. The lipstick does not dry out the lips and feels quite moisturizing. It feels quite comfortable to wear.
However, the downside of such a creamy texture is that the lipstick will likely melt in hot weather. The finish is a lovely crème with some shine.
One thing that I don’t like about this lipstick is that it has a very strong fruity scent which is quite overpowering. The slightly good part is that the fragrance is not long lasting and fades away in 30 minutes or so.
Since this is a creamy lipstick, the staying power is not too long. It does transfer and on me, it lasts for about 4-5 hours depending upon what I am eating.

- Very strong fragrance which will not appeal to all.
- Clumps if layered.
- Transfers.
- Too soft and might melt under hot weather conditions.

If you don’t mind the fragrance, you can surely try this lipstick. I will not repurchase the exact same shade, but would like to try some other shades from this range.
