Brush onto cuticles and bare nails.
My Experience with Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Cuticle Pen :
The cuticle pen is pink in colour while the brush is white, secured with a cap that clicks when shut. The brush of this pen is a lot like any nail paint’s brush. You can apply the oil contained in it like how you apply nail paints. The oil is transparent with a very mild yet pleasant fragrance. It’s runny in nature so you’ve to be careful as to how much you twist the bottom of the pen for disposal. If you twist the pen thrice, you’ll get enough oil for at least 2-3 fingers, so it’s okay to say that a little goes a long way. The pen does not leak so it is travel-friendly. When you apply the oil, it doesn’t get absorbed into your nails/cuticles.
It just stays the way it is, so obviously if you’re running errands with it on, it’s going to rub off easily. The best time to apply this oil I would say is when you’re working on your laptop because it doesn’t rub off easily then (tried and tested!). The results of the pen show slowly on me because I don’t use it daily. I’m using it twice a week and still have seen an improvement in my fingers. My nails aren’t as brittle as they used to be and my rough cuticles are starting to soften. I’m pretty happy with this product but I would not buy it again, I would rather invest in a hand/nail cream that has more quantity that 1.5 ml 🙂
Strengths of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Cuticle Pen :
- Easy application.
- Softens cuticles.
- Helps in making nails strong.
- Pretty packaging.
- Mildly scented so it won’t bother sensitive noses.
- A little goes a long way.
Flaws of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Cuticle Pen :
- Gets wiped off easily because it’s runny and thin texture, it’s basically oil.
- Might get over fast if used daily (I don’t, so that’s why I’m not sure).
- May take time to show results.
- Extra quantity might come out if you twist too much.
It’s a product if you want to treat your nails with luxury. It’s not a must buy, so those who don’t really care about expensive products, skip it as there are many substitutes there. Those who want to pamper their nails and cuticles, give it a try.
