Today, I will be reviewing a beautiful color eye pencil which I bought from Sephora.  When I went to Sephora, I had planned to get an Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil in deep blue or navy blue, but unfortunately the color I wanted was not available in the stock. The lady showed me a variety of different blues from other brands, but I didn’t find what I was looking for. Finally, she showed me this particular color called “Surfer Babe” which was a Sephora brand eye pencil.  Though this wasn’t the actual color I was looking for, but somehow, I liked the color so much and
bought it.

Price:

AED 49 which is around INR 850. I think that it is a little cheaper in India.

Packaging:

The packaging of this pencil is like most of the other eye pencils. It is an all black pencil with a black colored lid. The base of the pencil is colored which represents the actual color of the pencil. The lid of the pencil is sturdy and is safe to travel with.

My Take on Sephora 12hr Wear Waterproof Contour Surfer Babe Eye Pencil:

Color: Surfer Babse is a shade of dark blue which is almost like peacock blue.  As mentioned on the pencil, this color is a shimmer color, but honestly speaking, there are not too many shimmer particles in this, which is actually a plus point for me. The color has some sort of pearly shine to it which makes it perfect not only for parties but also to make the eyes pop, even with minimal amount of makeup.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of the color is simply amazing. One light handed stroke is sufficient to get the exact color as seen in the pencil.

Texture: Texture is another plus point of this pencil. The pencil is so soft to apply, that it takes no effort to line the eyes perfectly. It feels very creamy when applied and is very lightweight.

Staying Power:  The company claims that the color is waterproof and can stay up to 12 hours which is almost true. I have worn the color for almost 10 hours and the color remained exactly the same way in these 10 hours. The color is not perfectly waterproof, but can easily stand some light amount of water. To test the product, I tried to rub if off with water and after 10 minutes, majority of the color came out.

Overall, this product might be a little pricey, but the quality is worth the money.  It is definitely a long-staying pencil in a brilliant peacock blue color.

• Pricey.
• Non-retractable (sharpening might lead to wastage).

Yes! though it’s a little pricey, it is an amazing product and I would like to buy some more colors.
