Okay you know by now my love for Shiseido.I first fell in love when I tried their lipsticks and they amazed me with the saturated pigmented and hydrating feel they had. You can check out my first lipstick from them in Fantasia.Then there was no looking back.Luckily I received some other lip products too from them which were again beautiful.Let me tell you why else I love there products, though they cost as much as YSL, I know the packaging does not scream luxury.But there is some beauty in their simplicity as well.They have so many shades to choose from that it is a lot fun visiting the counters. I shopped from Bombay and then we have a counter here in Pune in SS in Inorbit mall. They really need to spread out more counters for everyone to try out stuff.

Today’s product was gift with purchase when I first did my haul for IMBB from Shiseido.I cannot deny that I asked for sample eye creams, because these samples come in very handy when you travel.But when I was leaving the SA was so nice that she asked me to pick up any shade of the duos.I picked up a shade that I could wear any day, a neutral warm one and I am so happy I did.This turned out to be a subtle warm kind of shadow I could wear even during the day.

Like I said even the simple black is nice.These come with a super handy brush and a mirror as well.It is a complete kit for anyone who wants to do some crease-work, apply a nude color on the lid and the eyebrow bone.This also became my fav when I saw how effective and usable the brush was!! The brush has a sturdy sponge tip as well as a dense brush on the other end which can be beautifully used for blending the brown in the crease and also apply some on the lower lid for a subtle effect.

Coming to the colors, the light one is a compact like neutral color for the lids and brow bone.The brown red is a slightly shimmer brick red kind of shade but once you blend it looks totally matte.When I apply it on the crease it looks very stark,but with a blending brush this looked like a simple enhanced crease,it kind of vanishes which was a little sad but still I love the neutral effect since I was looking for something like it.The pigmentation on the red is better than the nude one,the nude one might need building up since it is on the chalky side.

Apart from that I realized it wont need too much blending or else it vanishes and staying power is also diminished.I think primer would work better but for the subtle shadow effect I love it. This will be good for all warm skin tones.The texture is nice, on the red one is better than the nude shade.There is minimal fall out and these are smooth to use.If you dont blend the red one, this will be stark looking.

The staying power is 2-3 hours but can be enhanced on a concealer or primer.But this package is complete for me for the no-eye shadow look when I blend it.The mirror and the compact and the applicator are superb.This will be in my neutral makeup day wear kit all the time!

Super blended red shade in the crease, and the neutral shade wash on the lid, Maybelline gel liner and Revlon 3D mascara.
