Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Titian RS306 Review

Hi Ladies,

Don’t we just love lipsticks? They can brighten up a dull day, make you go weak in the knees and are a woman’s best friend (amongst many other things too :P) Even if you’re not in the mood to don full-on makeup, a little lipstick goes a long way. I don’t mind bare eyes at times but bare lips (read lipsticks or any gloss etc.) makes me feel incomplete. Shiseido is a luxury brand that has been around since 1872 and is by far one of the oldest beauty companies in the world. I always used to walk past the Shiseido counter probably because it was normal for me to walk up to the usual Estee Lauders, MACs and Diors of the world. Having heard about the company before and how great and beneficial their products are, I thought why not check them out….there’s no harm right!

My Experience with Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Titian RS306:

Whilst swatching their Perfect Rouge collection of 25 lipsticks, I fell in love with this shade called Titian (RS306), which is a dusty rose pink colour with a hint of mauve but more on the pink side. These are very creamy lipsticks and glides on smoothly on my lips giving an instant moisturized application. Some creamy lipsticks dry out after a few hours but this stays moisturized till it comes off. Thanks to its contents of Super Hydro-Wrap Vitalizing DE, the moisture stays locked in.

However, the downside of this creaminess is that is transfers very easily when you eat or drink. For me, that’s okay as lipsticks are meant to transfer unless you’re wearing a specific non-transferable one. I can just touch up post eating or drinking otherwise I don’t really have to. Also, since the texture is quite creamy, I have to be extra careful not to have my hair brush against my lips or accidentally brush my hand over it as it will transfer…period. Even after transferring, I’m still left with a nice stain on my lips so that’s ok but personally I’m always drinking or eating something when I’m out so I have to touch up at least every 3 hours which in my opinion is decent. But if you love hydrating lipsticks, this is a winner. Lips stay supple and hydrated.

Colour wise, this is well pigmented and lives up to the actual colour of the swatch/product. Density of colour is up to you depending on how much you apply. Two strokes do it for me to be fair. The lush dusty pink colour of this shade is truly beautiful and apt for daytime as well as evening. It has a glossy sheen to it that looks as though I have gloss over it. However, I have noticed that the glossiness wears down after a while, but that could be due to my lips being super dry. They just drink up anything!

Would I Repurchase Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Titian RS306?

Yes, I am in love with the intense nourishing texture and colours from this range. Especially in the dry months, when I don’t want really matte out lips, the Perfect Rouge range of hydrated creamy lipsticks are great. I like this shade as it’s a sober pink for days when I don’t want to be loud and go the fuchsia or bubblegum pink way. Perfect for work too when one needs to be conservative.

IMBB Rating:

4/5

Conclusion:

I am stoked about the lovely creamy texture and hydrating qualities as well as the colour, but probably wouldn’t wear this on a windy day as with hair blowing all over your face, you are bound to get streaks of colour on your face and that’s a complete NO NO!. I do wish it would have stayed longer on the lips maybe, but most creamy textured lipsticks don’t and I’m okay with that.

Au revoir!

xoxo
