Sigma Brush Kit Make Me Crazy Purple

Sigma has come up with their new brush sets called Make Me up. They are the same 12 brushes that they have in their professional brush kit but these ones are prettier and more fun. 🙂 Since I love Sigma brushes, I had to have one of these.

There are 4 ranges to pick from. Check HERE

I liked Make Me Cool Blue the most but considering that the handles are of light shade and they would get dirty soon, I rather picked up Make Me crazy Purple for myself. 🙂

Total Cost : Price ($ 99) + shipping ($39) = $ 138 ( around Rs 6,200)

The shipping was excellent. I has opted for express shipping. I was provided with the transaction id and I got my package in perfection condition within a week.

Here is the outer cover and some reading material of the Make Me crazy- Purple brush kit.

    1. Sireeha, I think the brushes are excellent and having a full brush kit helps a lot. You can always keep adding more brushes in your kit but I think this includes all your basic brushes and the quality is pretty good. :))

      1. i liked evrything except the ferrules of these new brushes! :hunterwali: they are not glossy at all! i like glossy shiny ferrules like the black one has.. :aajanachle: me planning to buy 2 sigma brush kits which completes my brush needs for now! yippeee… :jiggy1:

  5. Scarlett, shipping was $ 39 and the brush set it for $ 99. You can also opt for regular shipping but in that case you don’t get an option to track your package. 🙂

  6. You bought these??????? 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 and MAC brushes too???? I think I might look like purple if I afford to get any more greeen, so I give up!! 😐 ..These are sooooooooo cuttteeee cuteee purpleeeee….and pretttyyyyyyyyy!! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* …me droooling!!!!

  10. NOW the brush companies are talking!!! finaly they making colourful brushes!! yeayy!!

i loving the leatherbound casing soo much! its classy!

its sooo expensive!! but if i wanna try and do an equal break up for singular brushes..which comes up abt 500 something for a brush , its not that bad actualy!!

    1. It is not bad for the price, Neha. You have 12 brushes and each of it is useful. And really you cannot get brushes worth Rs 500 either in MAC or Inglot ..infact not even n colorbar. And I like the quality of the brushes. My previous brushes are still soft and in good condition even after so much usage. That was the reason I dint have to think twice to give this set a go. 🙂

    1. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: Radssss… :-* I was going to write this here!! :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: our minds work so similarly naaa!!!

  11. hi rati…..
on the risk of sounding dumb…..plz tell me what are FERRULES…../and what difference does it make if they are glossy or not…..
one more question…..u have purchased and used both mac and sigma…..so what do u recommend out of both brands…..i was thinking….why not buy sigma kit first and then when u get the hang of the brushes move on to mac…..?even otherwise i dont use makeup on a daily basis……am i thinking on right track????
and lastly…..this kit u have shown above or the basic black one….is there any difference in quality…???rati plz do give me ur honest sugestion on brushes…

and can i hug u fr the siahi fluidline look….i copied it and got so many compliments…..thx….

    1. Ferrules are the top part of the brushes..you see the top pinkish purple part of the brush that holds the bristles?? Those are ferrules. It doesnt make a difference, it’s just about the preference. Sireesha likes the glossy ones. 🙂

I have 3 MAC brushes – 2-217 and one 219. I like MAC’s 219 more because it is more dense and sturdy , sigma one is not that dense but once you get used to it, it works just fine. Between 217 & E 25, i barely see any difference in bristles. I think MAC 187 brush ( the duo fibre one) doesnt not bleed but Sigma one bleeds. Rest I totally like the brushes. I think this whole set kinda solves your purpose if you are not makeup artist. Makeup artists need more brushes but they can keep adding brushes to their kit from different brands.

I feel having a full brush kt helps because then you start playing with brushes and that really helps in making your makeup better.

I am yet to use these brushes Shilpa so i cant comment much at this stage but the brushes are exactly the same as in their professional brush kit (and I am happy with it) and that’s the reason i dint mind purchasing this kit.

And most welcome. 🙂 I am happy that you are got so many compliments. Siahi was totally worth investing. 🙂 * tight hugs*

    2. hi shilpa..it does not make any diferrence if the ferrule is matte or glossy.it is a personal preference.i just like the glossy ones more because i feel that they add some glamour to the brushes.that’s all.. :))

  12. errrr….Rati…sorry to ask here but…. did u check my pic?
Did I do the look fine?? ?:) ?:)
I want to do that again with my turquoise dress day after….plz tell me whether this came out fine? O:)
And ofcourse I will conceal my dark circles which I dint in the pic :(( :(( :((

  13. Good buy..you mean they are as good as MAC but an equivalent set from MAC doesn’t come for under $100..and have you done any post on basic MAC brushes? or just one MAC must have brush.. :victory:

    1. I think just one mac must have brush would be 217 for eyes and 187 for face. umm.. I would say they are pretty good. I mean I would have not purchased them if they were not “really” good. 🙂

      1. …I remember somewhere you said though one can apply foundation with fingers but the finish is best with a brush..hai naa..

        1. I believe in that. :)) That air brushed finish doesn’t come when foundation is applied with fingers. Although I do like to apply foundation with fingers but then I move my brush on my face to get rid of streaks and sort of polish the foundation. 🙂

  14. i reme gettting mails from sigma on this…why couldnt u ignore those mails like i did….u had to buy them and flaunt .. :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali:

    1. I went crazy when i saw these brushes so I gave myself some gyaan on how brushes are investment and these would go on for years and years , one time investment blah blah 😐 O:) I finally gave in. :((

But Now I am soopper happy. Not guilty at all :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

      1. 😐 😐 😐 the container is super cutee…..lovely color….  😐 😐 :spank: :spank: :spank:

      1. just read this article.. lite went out.. super like ur choice in these sigma brushes :yahoo: .. wud chk them out but wht u think about the ecotools brush sets tht was reeviewed few days bak on IMBB ?:) .. i dont think they r available in any retail store in Hyd so wanna opt for an online purchase..any suggestions frm ur end r welcum.. :waiting:

    1. Ansh, if you break them down, each brush costs you Rs 500 so it’s not that expensive. But I agree that paying in a one go is a little difficult. 🙂

  15. the blue ones are GORGEOUS but the price.. :(( :(( i’m going to try convincing my parents for a republic day gift 😛 😛

  16. rati..thx fr the detailed reply…..it really helped…..
let me me bog u with one more query….u said the above mentioned kit contains same brushes as sigma proffessional brush kit…….right?so shud i buy the proffessional kit or the above mentoned colored kit……?(i dont mind black brushes)
and hw much does the professional kit cost …….
and does it come with similar leather casing as the above…..
    sorry fr the trouble….

    1. These are the Professional Brush Kits -http://www.sigmabeauty.com/searchresults.asp?cat=22 I believe Rati meant that the 12-brush kit she bought contains the same brushes as the Professional kits – as in it’s just the same brushes repackaged differently – and of course with more value for money because there are no 12-brush sets in the Professional Brush Kits.

If you want to buy Sigma brushes, I’d recommend doing an online search on these brushes and find out which you will need and which you won’t. Brush taste is very personal because different people are comfortable with different types of brushes. Sigma is a great alternative to MAC brushes – but ultimately you have to use what you’re comfortable with. For example, not everybody applies eyeshadow on the lower lashline – so you might not need the pencil style brush. Then, once you’ve decided which brushes you want – calculate to see if the price of those brushes are more than this cool 12-brush kit. If it is, then you have your answer 🙂

      1. thx a lot fieran …u have solved all my doubts…..now i’ll sit and calculate …and then decide…….thx a ton….u have been of great help……

    2. Shilpa, I think Firen has answered your query more or less. I have a complete brush kit without a brush roll. That is part of their professional brush it range. Both of them have the same brushes. The complete kit that I have costs you $79, while this one costs you $ 99. I think it’s because of the extra features such as brush holders and fancy brushes.

The complete brush kt doesnt come with a leather casing. It comes in a pouch like this https://makeupandbeauty.com/sigma-professional-makeup-brush-kit-sneak-peek/

      1. thx rati…..ur reply is very helpful……nw as fieran said i’ll calculate and then decide what to buy and what not …..thx again…..

  17. Rati, these look so beautiful! And the outer box/holder :woot: You’re the proud owner of a very pretty brush kit! Is online ordering the only way to get Sigma brushes?
