Sigma Professional Brush Kit Review : Face Brushes
Last week I did a review on Sigma professional Eye Brushes. Today I would be reviewing Sigma Face Brushes. Read on! 🙂
Sigma Large Powder F 30 Brush :
This brush is made up of natural bristles. It is one of my favorite brush in the kit. F 30 brush is very soft, does not bleed or shed bristles. It’s like a big fluffy cotton roll placed on the handle..
F 30 is absolutely non scratchy. I use to apply loose and pressed powders . I also use it to dust away any excess powder on my face.

Sigma F 60 Foundation Brush : I love the size of this brush and they way it is cut. It is a little pointy at the top so it reaches the smaller areas of the face. You can also use this brush for cream blushes.
When you feel this brush on hand, it feels very soft. When you use it on your face, it’s kinda pricky. The bristles are cut in a way that they lightly prick your face. :((
I don’t use this brush anymore.

Sigma F 40 Large Angled Contour Brush:
I think it is a little soft brush for contouring but it applies blush like a dream. It’s dense and super duper soft brush. It picks up just the right amount of product. The angle makes applying blush easier. Tap tap tap blush on cheeks and you are done.
F 40 is a natural fibre brush. It gets washes easily . It doesn’t shed bristles.
Sigma F 80 Flat top Synthetic Kabuki Brush : This brush is not a part of the kit.
It’s a very dense duo fibre brush. I took a little long to get used to this brush. I started applying liquid foundation with this brush. The foundation applied flawlessly but the cleaning became a pain. Since the brush is dense I could never get rid of the foundation that used to get trapped at the center.
Now the brush gives that awesome air brushed look. So I just started bruffing my base products with this brush. And Voila!! I lovveee the brush. It gets cleaned up easily now. Just apply your base products in any manner and this brush will take care of the rest.
- Streaky foundation – Swirl Sigma F 80!
- Cakey Foundation – Swirl Sigma F 80!
- Un-blended blush – Swirl Sigma F 80!
- Want airbrushed look – Swirl Sigma F 80!
- Want to apply mineral foundation : Use Sigma F 80
It is a multi purpose brush . The brush is velvetty soft. You can use it to apply cream, liquid or powder products.
I would say not a must have but it’s good to have.
The only not so good thing is that it takes long to dry up.

Sigma F 50 Duo Fibre Brush : I hate this brush. It’s too soft for stippling. Worst, it bleeds. End of story.
Do you see all the dye on the white bristles. The reason i don’t use it is because i feel i would be mixing foundation and dye to apply on my face.
And this happens whenever I dry it on a tissue. All the dye comes on the tissues and on the white bristles.
Overall I think Sigma makes better eye brushes than face brushes. I love their eye brushes. They are so worth the money.

I love F30. its the best brush in sigma face brush collection no doubt.
yeah. I think so too. It has really made the foundation application hassle free. Even if have 2 streaks i know this brush will take care of it. Howzz youzz doinzz. > :))

i have coastal scents duo fibre but they shed, black stippler is bit better. i havent touched my sigma duo fibre yet
You know it worked fine until first few washes and i as liking it as well. then it started to bleed…I hope yours is better… 🙁

Airbrushing is a technique of makeup. There are airbrushing machines that come to do this kind of makeup. Just to make you understand , it’s like spraying foundation on face. Infact doing whole makeup like that. Google “temptu”
Airbrushing gives that flawless polished look to your face. Airbrushing is also good for people who have lot of acne or difficult skin. So sometimes even the softest of brushes are harsh for their skin. Just airbrush their skin and they’ll be good.
Airbrush tools and products are totally different and much more expensive than the regular makeup. There are different foundations blushes, eye products etc that the companies provide with the airbrush machine itself.
Difficult technique , takes a lot of time to bring to perfection. 🙂

Vaidehi, you cannot purchase it from the shop. Frown You would have to order it online. I have provided the link in the post. Smile
Their eye kit and face kit each is for $45 = around Rs 2115 each.
Their full kit (12 brushes + 1 free brush) is for $ 79 = around RS 3700/-
