Nowadays, every week a new product or a makeup line gets launched, but honestly, these days very few products really impress me. After the initial oooh-woww-yayyy and all that :happydance:, I finally cool off more because of my oily skin :smug:, but once in a while something comes up, like Chuck Bass or Damon Salvatore, and it completely blows my mind and then you have to have him, errrr “IT”
I find that normally Revlon products are okay, but with this, they have totally revolutionalized the formula, I mean, it seems they actually listened to females and made this. I saw Emma Stone is the advertisement and I was so damn impressed that I searched all the drugstores. It wasn’t launched here yet, so I wrote to Target and had them ship to the store and got this, like I said, “I HAD to get this.” :ghost2:

My Experience with Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Makeup Foundation:
The texture of this foundation is mousse-like, similar to a foamy shaving cream. You have to shake the bottle and press the nozzle. It comes out like this:
As you can see, it is very lightweight and you can actually hear the bubbles pop. This really intrigued me. You only need one squirt which is about a coin size. The mouse settles down in a bit into a slightly runny texture and then I apply it with a stippling brush or sponge. It gives a light to medium finish and then you can build more, but you need to be careful as it is light, so girls can easily cake it on 🙂
One thing that bothered me is, when I look in the mirror, I see myself shimmering as in “Edward Cullen shimmering.” So, I searched a few other reviews and everyone said the same thing. So, I asked my hubby, but obviously according to him, I look either good or bad, no specifics. Then, I asked the SA at Inglot, she said that I kind of looked glowy, but not shimmery and glowy in a good way. Let me show you this picture which was clicked after 6-7 hrs of applying this foundation.
The staying power is great because in the 8-9 hours that I was out, only once I had to dab on with a tissue, that too I was between all the mad rush for a couple of hours in Inglot for an event.
Well, let me summarize it for you:
Yayyys of Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Makeup Foundation:
- Very unique formula.
- I like it because it gives light to medium coverage and I can handle it on my skin better.
- Gives a nice dewy finish.
- Stays on my skin for a long time and I specify here that my skin is oily and acne prone.
- It doesn’t feel heavy or cakey at all.
- The mousse dispenser is very hygienic.
- The shimmering issue vanishes after applying a setting powder, then it is set for hours 🙂
- Very lightweight and great for travelling.
Nays of Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Makeup Foundation:
- The cost is a little high for a drugstore brand.
- It shimmers in the sun or maybe the person who wears it can see the shimmer. It doesn’t look shimmery in the pics, but I swear, I saw myself shiny and sparkly in my mirror, especially when it was sunny; wait let me check if its the Edward Cullen collection, nope, I don’t know why it shines. :hihi: but the other person doesn’t see you shimmering, a little glowy maybe.
- Dry skin beauties should avoid this as it can enhance flaky skin, you really need a moisturizer beneath this 🙂
- If you have any flaws you’re trying to conceal, this product might not work for you.
- This has a “flammable” warning label, maybe because of the air pressure, but it spooks me a bit.
- I have a feeling this will get over soon, its so light, even the bottle weighs light.
Final Verdict on Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Makeup Foundation:
This is not an HG foundation for me, but I loved the unique formulation. I would have loved it if the formula was a bit thicker and the shimmer was eliminated. I use this more for the evenings or nights out, but you might give this a try.
