Sinful Colors Nail Lacquer – Moss Have, Purple Diamond, Glass Pink

Sinful Colors Nail lacquer – Moss Have, Purple Diamond, Glass Pink

Hello my beautiful friends,

Hope you all are doing fine.  Today, I am here to share my newly-purchased collection of colorful nail paints from our well-known and favored drugstore brand “Sinful Colors.” Recently, I picked a few summery and shimmery shades from Sinful Colors out of my curiosity and I am glad I did. They are awesome and certainly comparable to many good drugstore brands including L’Oreal, Revlon, Maybelline etc. The shades which I picked are Moss Have (a frosty metallic green), Purple Diamond (a shimmery lavender purple), Glass Pink (a shimmery glossy white pink), Rich in Heart (black shimmery maroon) and Endless Blue (a creamy royal blue) respectively. So let’s read about them one by one:

Sinful Colors Nail Lacquer

Sinful Colors Nail Lacquer

Product Description:

  • Bold, vibrant, must-have colors.
  • Toluene, formaldehyde and DBP free

Packaging:

These metallic and shimmery nail paints come in sleek, glass bottle packaging with black cap. It does have SC embossed on cap which reminds me of OPI packaging though they both differ a lot. The brush applicator seems quite small yet it picks up perfect amount of nail lacquer to cover my nails one by one without dipping twice. It is DBP, Toluene and formaldehyde free product and hence it gets full on marks for user friendly, travel friendly and affordable packaging.

My Experience with Sinful Colors Nail lacquer – Moss Have, Purple Diamond, Glass Pink:

This is my first purchase from Sinful Colors and somehow I am impressed and convinced to try more, especially for frequent occasions and gifts. They all dry up pretty fast on my nails which makes them less messy and more user friendly for messy mums like me. It also eases the task of multiple strokes especially with their light shimmery shades. I did notice that their shimmer-free shades are more intensely pigmented and deliver streak-free finish in just 1-2 swipes while shimmery nail paints do require multiple swipes as they are way subtle and mild on my nails.

I also observed that all these nail paints give almost smooth, streak-free and glossy finish on my nails irrespective of the shimmer/creamy or frosty texture.  They do not look bad even after multiple swipes. They do stay for 5-6 days if my nails are in good condition. Moreover, glittery nail paints tend to fade and chip faster compared to creamy nail paints.  Also, they are way more subtle, hence they manage to stay for 5-6 days, chipping off or fading from edges.

Now let’s talk about them briefly one by one:

Sinful Colors Moss Have:  I first tried this metallic moss green shade and I am loving it for the satin metallic finishing plus color pay off. It gives me exactly the same color that I see in the packaging in just one stroke.  Oh yes, this shade is super opaque and gives enough pigmentation in just one swipe.  I rarely need second coat with this shade. It also stays for 5-6 days without chipping or fading a bit, even its glossy sheen stays put for one week. I guess it is suitable for every age group and beauty.

Sinful Colors Nail Lacquer

Sinful Colors Purple Diamond:  It is a subtle purple shade with silver glitter which gives adequate purple pigmentation upon first swipe, I need 2 swipes for clean, glossy finish and which stays put for 7-8 days (even with household chores).  It can be easily topped over other creamy purple shades for extra oomph or can be worn on its own as it is way milder even with those sparkles. One of my favorite sparkles shade, must say. It will flatter a number of beauties.

Sinful Colors Glass Pink:  It is most subtle shade of the 5 Sinful Colors nail paints I own.  It looks pale white-pink to me with white/silver sparkles. I still love it for that subtle pink and glittery sparkle which does not look cheap.  It seems quite similar to Sally Hansen’s Diamond Strength Pink Promise which I have reviewed here though the former tends to be more white and the latter is more bubbly pink.  It will flatter on any fair/medium Indian skin tone. It stays on for 5-6 days and after that, chips off a bit from my nails, it actually fades pretty fast.  However, it does not give me gloopy or streaky finish.

Sinful Colors Nail Lacquer

Sinful Colors Rich in Heart:  An absolutely gorgeous maroon-black shade with subtle glitter.  I do own its closest match in OPI  “Midnight in Moscow,” and this sinful Rich in Heart seems the closest dupe of former. It is an intensely pigmented shade and requires a maximum of two strokes for glossy, intense color payoff on my nails. It does stay for 8-10 days on my nails.  It will suit a variety of skin tones and age groups I believe for it is a versatile color after subtle pinks. It instantly brightens up skin tone hence a must-have for parties and for winter season I believe.

Sinful Colors Nail Lacquer

Sinful Colors Endless Blue:  This is an absolutely gorgeous creamy and royal blue lacquer. I really love it to core of my heart and wear it more often unlike other shades. It gives me intense color payoff in just one swipe and I am good to go, but I usually swipe it twice for more intense, clean and glossy finish and thereby it stays put for 7-8 days without chipping or fading. It does chip off after a week pretty fast though.

Sinful Colors Nail Lacquer

Well, I certainly recommend all these shades to every beauty and skin tones including fair/medium/tan irrespective of age group. I am keen to explore other shades in this range. Needless to say, they are pretty affordable yet great in terms of texture, color, finish and quality though I agree they do not stay much longer compared to OPI or other high-end brands.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Sinful Colors Nail lacquer – Moss Have, Purple Diamond, Glass Pink:

  • DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free nail lacquer with intense pigmentation in just one stroke.
  • Gorgeous metallic/creamy/shimmery nail paints which will compliment every skin tone irrespective of age group.
  • These nail paints dry out super fast.
  • Most of them give intense color payoff in first swipe and we would only need the second stroke for even finish and glossy sheen.
  • The brush applicator is quite user friendly and designed to pick the right amount and to cover the nail in one single stroke.
  • These nail lacquers deliver even, non-streaky finish in a single stroke.
  • All of them stay put for 4-5 days, and fade away from the corners; creamy and metallic shades last for as long as 8-9 days.
  • The shine and glossy metallic effect stays put for 5-6 days (even with household works).
  • The amount of product is same as we get in high-end products and cost only a fraction; though they do not match in terms of quality and finish, still it’s a steal at such a price.

Cons of Sinful Colors Nail lacquer – Moss Have, Purple Diamond, Glass Pink:

  • “Moss Have” might look unnatural and is prone to cracks.
  • The metallic and shimmery nail paints do not last longer.
  • They often leave patchy yellow nail keratin.
  • Once they start to chip, they peel off pretty fast, which looks quite odd.

Honestly, I don’t have any major issue with these nail paints; however, I agree that I may not consider them in my daily nail grooming regime for usually I need long staying and quality products like OPI.  I will certainly get them for my short trips and vacations as I am super impressed with the texture, quality, quantity, finish and shades and I highly recommend it to everyone. I am also planning to get them as gifts because they are super cheap yet elegant and must-have in every gal’s kit. What do you say?

IMBB Rating:

For me all are 3.9/5 except “moss have” its 3.5/5 for me!
