Sleek True Color Lipstick-Papaya Punch
Hello every one!
Today, I am reviewing sleek lipstick in papaya punch which is a matte lipstick. I was really excited about this lipstick because it is a very pretty color almost like a coral pink color.
The packaging is also nice. By now, we are familiar with the black matte casing of Sleek, though for a lipstick black matte can mean, stains would be visible. But you can easily wipe the sides with a tissue and the stains come off. The texture of the lipstick is very slightly chalky and it doesn’t feel drying on the lips. It is comfortable to wear. Though some might get conscious due to its bright color it is nice for the flowery-beach kind of look. Also, I think it will suit even dusky beauties if you don’t mind the bright color.
All that said and done now I am coming to the most important part about this lipstick, the application. And take my word on it the application is an absolute headache. First of all, it totally settles into lines and imperfections on the lips so you have to really make sure lips are well scrubbed and smooth. After that I apply the lipstick with a lip brush. I can’t even think of applying it directly from the lipstick because it does not give an even application at all. Even after that you can still see some particles that I have to blot out in order to get an even coverage. At last, lipstick is totally transferable and after the lipstick fades off ,the stain remains for a very long time.
So all in all, it doesn’t work for me and I think I will make a lip balm out of it in the near future!
Pros of Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Papaya Punch:
- Colour is nice and bright.
- Packaging is nice.
- Stain remains on the lips for a long time.
Cons of Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Papaya Punch:
- Settles into fines lines and makes them really visible.
- Difficult to get an even coverage
- The lipstick is very transferable.
IMBB Rating:
2/5 (2 only because of the color and the packaging)
Would I buy of Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Papaya Punch again?
Nope. Revlon mattes are far better. I love the other sleek products though!

Oops sorry forgot about that ! its 6.49 $ !
the shade is quite eye grabbing !
yepp ! thats what made me buy it ! 🙂
love the color..but I wonder if it will suit my complexion!
ohh you should consider buying coral reef from the same range which has a sheen finish so you wont have the application problem and both the colors are quite similar !
The packaging is surely attractive but I will skip this for the color. Too bold for my complexion do they have something in n*de or dull colors
yes nidhi they have bare all, barely there and peaches and cream which could be anyones n*de colour ! 🙂
