Hope you are all doing great. Recently, Smashbox released their Christmas edition beauty sets with pretty packaging and awesome products. They put together their iconic legendary lipsticks in a set with a cute white and red packaging. I was really impressed with the set and quickly got it. So today, I am going to review the “Smashbox Audition Be Legendary Lipstick“ which I got in the Christmas set. So, let’s get started with the review.

My Experience with Smashbox Audition Be Legendary Lipstick:

The lipstick comes packaged in a black square tube with coded tag at the bottom depicting the actual lipstick shade. Since I got this lipstick in a Christmas set, I got it in a limited edition packaging as a cute little white tube with red lips printed on it. It is one of the cutest packaged lipsticks that I own and I will be very much happy if they make this as the actual packaging of these lippies, instead of the boring black case.

Smashbox offers a huge variety of shades in cream and matte finishes. To be more precise, there are 20 shades available in the cream finish. The shade “Audition” is a neutral rose shade, almost like a soft pinkish nude colour. It is one of those shades which might work as a perfect nude for fair to light skin tones. It also works for my tanned skin tone, but it is a bit light. Though I can wear on its own, I prefer to wear it with a darker lip liner.

The texture of these lipsticks is creamy and lightweight. Though it is creamy, it doesn’t have a slick feeling or a glossy texture and does not slide around too much. Since it’s not matte, it has a soft natural shine. The lipstick is hydrating and is very comfortable to wear on the lips. The product applies well without tugging or pulling and sits well without moving much.

The pigmentation is also good. It does give full on opaque color with two swipes, which is great for a cream lipstick.

The wear time of this lipstick is around 4-5 hours with some food. Since it has creamy texture, they do transfer easily. Since the shade is light, there is no stain left behind.

Overall, these are good creamy lipsticks that feel and look nice on the lips.
