St. Ives Exfoliating Body Wash – Apricot

St. Ives Exfoliating Body Wash – Apricot

Hello girlies,

So as I wrote in my earlier review that I had a visit to the beauty centre near Crawford market and I picked up three shower gels and I don’t know why! So this shower gel was one of those random picks. But never mind , shower gel is a daily necessity , I am going to use them some or the other day so that’s okay. I bought two shower gels so though I would pick an exfoliating scrub or something. I have had great experience with St. Ives scrub, so was expecting good results from this too. So let’s go on to how this shower gel worked for me.

My experience with St. Ives Exfoliating Body Wash – Apricot:

I was half done my Adidas daily scrub shower gel and was really bored also using the same one, so thought I’ll remove this one and start with this. It comes in a super big bottle that is a 400ml one, they did not have a smaller size so I picked up this biggie. The bottle is a sturdy plastic one and it is transparent, so you can see how much amount is left. It has a cute picture of apricots over the bottle. The shower gel comes in a cute peachy pink gel and is not very thick not very runny, the consistency is almost similar to the shampoos. The gel is almost similar to all the shower gels, I did not find any difference in that. The smell is pretty good. It is a blend of apricots and pink grapefruit, it does not contain grapefruit though but smelled like that. It has very minute granules for exfoliation and are not very much visible. When you concentrate very much, only then the tiny granules would be noticeable.

It lathered up properly and also it smelled really good but I couldn’t feel the granules whether they were actually cleaning my skin or not. As I shower gel it did a perfect part but as an exfoliation one I don’t think it did because the granules did not do anything as such. So after rinsing my body when I came out, there was no smell at all. I was like are you serious? What kind of a shower gel is this? The quantity is very good for the price but no smell after rinsing was a big disappointment. Although I can use it as just a shower gel, but I already had picked up two shower gels and expecting this to be an exfoliation one I picked this. Now I have stocked up three shower gels and three currently in my washroom. Overall not a very good one, not a bad one as well, it would be somewhere in between.

Cons of St. Ives Exfoliating Body Wash – Apricot:

-Availability might be an issue for some.
-Granules did not work that nicely.
-No fragrance after rinsing at all.

Would I repurchase or recommend St. Ives Exfoliating Body Wash – Apricot?

No, I would not repurchase it again because I have no idea how am I going to use this one as well and I like the CK scrub better as it cleaned my skin superbly. I will not recommend it too because there are far better shower gels than this one in the market.
