Suave Dry Shampoo Spray Review

Suave PROFESSIONALS dry shampoo spray review

Hi girls,

Today I want to review one of the best hair products from Unilever that I came across by chance and which fulfilled my biggest dream of having a good, non-oily manageable hair anytime anywhere within minutes.

suave dry shampoo

Product Description as seen on the website:

This dry shampoo spray, with mineral clay and silk powder, refreshes hair to prevent a greasy feel between washes. The dual benefit formula also helps re-style hair by adding lift and texture.

My take on Suave PROFESSIONALS dry shampoo spray:

I had always wanted a solution for oily sticky hair that troubles me between my hair washes. So I was intrigued when I saw this dry shampoo spray in the hair styling products aisle. I am going through the phase of ‘throwing all the caution in the air and trying out new products’ that interests me. When I used the product according to the directions given I noticed that it did reduce the oiliness to a great extent and there was no stickiness remaining. I loved it instantly. It also gave the illusion of thick hair and volume to my normal straight hair. If you keep the spray close than directed, your hair will be full of a thin sheet of white powder (the shampoo) and you will see hairs clinging to each other in a dry bunch. A quick combing removes it and helps the dry shampoo to be absorbed by the hair.

When I do hot oil treatment to hair, I apply this dry shampoo after a hair wash with a normal shampoo. It removes the excess oil which the normal shampoo fails to do. After using the dry shampoo, the next hair wash can be done with or without the normal shampoo. The dry shampoo washes of gently (not very noticeable) with just water. I watched for signs of hair fall, or extra dry or brittle hair or split ends or dandruff and I am happy to say that after 3 months of continuous usage on every alternate day I didn’t find any of these. It doesn’t improve the volume by growing more hairs but gives the impression of thick full hair.
I also noticed that a very little amount of it can also help in drying your wet clingy hair fast, if you are in a hurry. It gives me more time to concentrate on my facial make up as it reduces the time and effort needed to make the hair look and feel good. Even though I love this product very much, I still use it with care. After applying a little amount, I thoroughly comb my hair and see if I need more. If there is still some oiliness, I apply another round else I finish my combing.

Overall I love this product so much and find it very useful that I plan to keep backups of it and would take a bulk of it for my sisters when I visit India!!!

It has a mild pleasing citrus-berries mixed smell. Traces of it’s fragrance can be smelled on hair hours after application.

It comes in a can similar to deodorant spray cans. It is easy to carry and doesn’t occupy much space making it easy to use on the go.

Pros of Suave PROFESSIONALS dry shampoo spray:

  •  Absorbs excess oil from hair.
  •  Comes very handy when in a hurry.
  •  Easy to use.
  •  Gives the illusion of volume to hair.
  •  Doesn’t dry hair or make it brittle.
  •  Does not cause hair fall or split ends.
  •  Does not cause dandruff, or itchy scalp.

Cons of Suave PROFESSIONALS dry shampoo spray:
• Non- availability in India.
