My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics Blend The Rules Eyeshadow Quad 14 Skyfall:

The eyeshadow palette comes in a black colored cardboard cover with brand’s tagline printed on its top. The actual palette is bright orange and pink in color with mosaic prints on it. The shade name is mentioned on the top left corner of the palette. The actual palette is also made up of strong cardboard with a nice magnetic closure. Each palette contains four eyeshadows and a small foam applicator. There is no mirror added to the packaging. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel-friendly.

The name of each shade is not mentioned on the packaging. So, I have taken the reference from their website where the names of every individual shade are mentioned in the product description. Now, let’s discuss each of these shades one by one.

1. Cream: This is the first shade in this palette. It is a soft n*de beige kind of shade. This is a soft eyeshadow. It is a matte eyeshadow. It is absolutely free from any sheen or shimmers. It has average pigmentation and the color is easily buildable with 2-3 swipes.

2. Subtle Mauve: This is the second shade in this palette. It is a dusty mauve kind of shade as its name suggests. It is great for defining the crease or to be used on the outer corner of the eyes for creating a soft eye makeup. This is also a matte and non-shimmery eyeshadow. It is so pigmented and the color shows up in a few swipes only.

3. Bright Blue: This is the third shade in the palette. It is a matte royal blue eyeshadow. It is also a matte eyeshadow but it has some sparse silver shimmers in it. But it almost looks like a matte eyeshadow. The eyeshadow is so pigmented and gives intense color with just a few swipes.

4. Metallic Purple: It is a beautiful metallic lilac purple kind of shade. The shade is soft and not too bright. It has a gorgeous metallic finish. The color pops up easily with 1-2 swipes. The pigmentation of this shade is amazing & it builds up nicely on the eyes. I love the metallic finish of this eyeshadow. It is so creamy in texture and applies effortlessly.

The shades in this palette are good for creating both day and night time looks. One can create both soft or bold eye makeup using the colours in this palette. The texture of these eyeshadows is lovely. These are super soft, smooth and kind of creamy. All the shades are soft & easily blend-able. It glides like a dream on the eyes without causing any tugging or pulling.

Though these eyeshadows are in powder form the formula in non-chalky & there is a little fall out issue. They almost feel very silky smooth while applying & blending. They blend seamlessly without much effort. The pigmentation is great. All the shades impart nice opaque color to the eyes. The colours are easily buildable with a few swipes. The eyeshadow lasts on my eyes for a good 6-7 hours on my oily eyelids with an eye primer underneath. Overall, I love these palettes by Sugar.
