I would like to ask you and the IMBB gang for some suggestion regarding sunscreen lotion (or gel as my skin is oily and pimple prone). I am leaving for Puri (beach) in four days and I plan to buy a sunscreen tomorrow along with other stuffs. I have tried out Aroma Magic, Lakme and Ayur before but they did not help. Also help me with other tips to prevent tanning on beach as far as possible because Prevention is better than cure!

Somreeta i so reply on lotus sunscreens. using the spf 50 spray one and loving it. i think jinal mentioned that they have one is spf 60 also..
the spf 40 one they have is for oily skin.
okay.the spf 40 for me then.! Tell me Rati, does it work on beaches? any experience? actually, Puri beach is super sandy, super salty and in daytime, the dun is scorching!!! :stars: :stars: :stars:
i was using lotus 3-1 spf 30 sunscreen for past 2 days..n it broke me out like anything. 😥 😥 .as i also have oily-acne prone skin..so i wud suggest u to do a patch test frst for any sunscreen.. 😥

hey Som, try Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50, My skin is combination oily sensitive and prone to pimples….I just followed IMBB recos and bot this sunscreen, it has been great so far, I apply this sunscreen on face and hands as well, it brought back my original colour on hands and face is super protected. Even my friends use this and feel good about its sun protection…………have a nice time at the BEACH :snail: :snail: :toothygrin: :toothygrin:

I second Akhila’s suggestion. I tan & burn very easily & the Chennai sun is really bright, but since using this, that hasn’t happened.

I used Neutrogena ultra mist body sunblock… dunno the spf, but it was higher than 30. It is a spray. They suggest you use the cream version on your face, but I used this and it didnt break me out. I have oily skin too.
I have the sun block cream of Lotus Herbals….its SPF 60. Its non-greasy and sweat proof. Give that a try. :)) I love it. I have oily skin too.
Try Neutrogena Sun block with SPF 50..It worked great for me..Hope u find it good too.. :yes: :yes: Lacto Calamine lotion helps to remove tan, use it after u step indoors, preferably include it in ur night regimen. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :teddy: :teddy:
I really really loove the lotus SPF 50 spray thing. I use it on my face and body. Its got a good amount to last me through the summer and it doesn’t leave my skin oily like most other sunscreens do. :makeup: :makeup: :makeup:

I love Neutregena sunblock spf 50 PA +++ a lot !! It gives a dewy finish though, but it worked when I had been to Puri 2months back dear, anyways sorry for late reply !! :))

try banana boat, even shahnaz hussain is good.. but i know a lot of people find it tough to blend.
Somreeta, apart from sunscreen don’t forget to carry pure aloe Vera gel (brimhans green leaf or natures) to use as an after sun coolant. Very effective for sunburns… Have fun:-)

hey girl….thats a gud choice….Neutrogena is the best of the sunscreens I have tried, tested and found GREAT. I lived all my life in a beach city and this is the best SS to sail thru the summers….good pick
I used the neutrogena 1.But hated it.It dint work for me. Glad it worked for you.
