Today I’m reviewing a highlighter by Tarte, in the shade ‘Stunner’. I’m a pretty big fan of Tarte products. I would say that they are on the higher-end side. Their packaging is always top quality. I haven’t tried too many liquid highlighters. I usually stick to powder, but I was pleasantly surprised by the results of this one!

Glow like a goddess with this creamy highlighter that builds from sheer to intense. Ultra-concentrated pigments & pearls are suspended in the hybrid gel-cream, oil free formula that you can mix with your liquid foundation or wear alone for naturally lit luminosity. Infused with rose water, it slips softly onto skin & keeps moisture in with tapered, squeezable packaging to put the highlight exactly where you want it. You can also layer the superpigmented shades with their matching Amazonian clay 12-hour powder highlighters for a seen-from-space strobe.

My Experience with Tarte Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter Stunner:
I have combination skin, oily around the T-zone and dry on my cheeks. Most highlighters emphasize my pores if I don’t use a primer, so I always use one. Lately, I have been using Estee Lauder’s “The Mattifier”. This highlighter is a very pigmented gold shade with hints of pink and a white reflection. It’s super metallic and may seem a little chunky at first glance. There is nearly 16g of product, which is quite a bit considering that a small drop will go a long way with this product.
I love the packaging of this tube. It comes in a flat squeeze-able tube. The cap has a very pretty geometric design. Same with the outside box. The product comes out of a small nozzle. I highly recommend applying this product, and blending it out with your fingers because it is super pigmented and dries really fast. It looks a lot more natural to place a small amount on your highlight areas and buff it out. There are three shades available on the Tarte website.
A small drop of this product goes a very long way. The highlighter is one of my favorites makeup products to use. The consistency of this product is like most liquid highlighters – it is a little thick, but spreads out just fine. If you appreciate more of a subtle highlight (or sheen), I wouldn’t recommend this product to you. It’s more of an obvious shine. If you want to add to the glow, I would apply this product very thinly, and then layer it with a powder highlight on top.
The staying power of this product is nothing too special. It’s blinding when you first apply it and will wear well throughout the day, fading little by little. If you set it with a highlight powder on top, it will definitely stay in place a little longer though.

• Doesn’t contain many of the harmful chemicals that are often found in cosmetics
• Dries completely, no sticky or tacky feeling
• No scent
Cons of Tarte Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter Stunner:
• A little pricey (Tarte often has sales)
• Very shimmery

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Tarte Tarteist PRO Glow Liquid Highlighter Stunner?
I would recommend this product to people who are on the market for a liquid highlighter, as it does the job pretty well. But I am convinced that there are better options available for this price.
