I bring for you another product from The Body Shop which is one of my favorites these days. 😀 I picked it up in travel size because I already had tons of products in my shopping basket and could see the familiar glare in hubby’s eyes. So, I took this up telling him that I wanted a travel-size body butter for our upcoming trip. 😛 But anything new can’t lie in my stash unused, the kid in me was itching to try it out. 😛

My Experience with The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter:
Packaging: It comes in a standard TBS tub packing. The tub is golden in color, depicting the Wild Argan Oil range. The tub packaging might be disliked by some, but trust me, given the thick texture that this body butter has, tub packing is the best.
The body butter light brown/cream in color and is very very thick. Even despite the super thick texture, it is very buttery and creamy and spreads on easily on the skin. It sinks in easily and gets absorbed in the skin without leaving a greasy feeling but leaves a subtle sheen and glow on my skin.
I have read in many articles that argan oil is wonderful for extremely dry skin and wanted to pick this stuff for the sole reason. Though it comes from the Wild Argan Oil range, I was a bit disappointed to see shea butter and cocoa butter as main ingredients and not the organ oil. 🙁 But nonetheless, it works amazingly on my dry skin and keeps it nourished and moisturized for 24 hours. Yes, 24 hours!!!! It’s true 😀 It does wonders for my skin in retaining moisture. I am really impressed by its super moisturizing properties and it gets full marks from me on this.
When freshly applied, it has a bit of nutty, woody and moringa butter like smell (nothing like the original argan oil at all). Though the smell is neither too strong nor too mild, I could still smell it on my skin after a couple of hours, though at that time it smelled more like sandalwood to me!! (my weird sense of smell!! 😛 ) Well, I am not a fan of its smell, but I will still use it for its moisturizing properties and it seems that it will become my go-to product in the winters 😀
Pros of The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter:
- Fragrance is not too strong.
- Cruelty free.
- True to the 24-hour hydration claim.
- Leaves a subtle glow and sheen on the skin.
- Not greasy at all.
- Sinks into the skin easily.
- Fragrance lasts for around 4-5 hours on the skin.
Cons of The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter:
- Tub packaging might be a con for some.
- Though the name says “Wild Argan Oil,” it has shea butter and cocoa butter as main ingredients and not argan oil (well, not really a con :P)
- I am not a fan of the fragrance.
Would I Repurchase The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter?
Though it is not my line of fragrance, I would repurchase it for sure (and full size this time 😀 ) for its amazing moisturizing properties. It might be my go-to product for the winters. If you have dry skin, this will be a good pick for keeping your skin hydrated round the clock. 🙂
