The summers here are about to get over very soon and I am planning the fall to be warm and nice till the cold of winter arrives. To take this feeling forward, I got myself this renowned and loved perfume from Thierry Mugler called Angel. This perfume does have some real transforming abilities from a mortal to an angel…just kidding! If you really want to know and have the plans to buy this for the festive season, this review could come to your rescue.
Price and Quantity: $85 for 50 ml
Product Description: Angel, the first perfume by Thierry Mugler, evokes the emotion of tender childhood memories together with a sense of dreamlike infinity. Angel, which launched a new fragrance category called the “oriental gourmands,” seduces us with angelic flavors found deep within the heart of our memories, as well as sensual and passionate notes.
Bergamot, Hedione, Helional, Honey, Dewberry, Red Berries, Vanilla, Caramel, Patchouli, Chocolate, Coumarin.
Pure. Soft. Innocent.
How to use:
Spritz to pulse points or as desired and this can be layered with the same range of products for a longer effect.
Packaging: The packaging of most Thierry Mugler perfumes are quite intriguing. The bottles are called stones, stars or pebbles. This one is called a star and looks like a glass star with the perfume inside and the spritzer spray at the tip of one edge. The bottle looks very elegant but cannot stand on its own. The color of the bottle is pale sky blue with chrome spray. I must say I am in love with Thierry Mugler perfumes and their packaging is always so elegant and classy.
My Experience with Thierry Mugler Angel Eau de Parfum:
I had tried this perfume once when I had got it as a sample vial with my Alien perfume. Since then I had been planning to buy it. We went for a trip to the Crater Lake National Park in Oregon last week and, before leaving for the holiday, I got it as a gift for myself and this bottle is also blue like the water of the Crater Lake. Let’s come back to the Angel perfume; so, as I said, it is considered a collector’s item by many. The initial spritz can seem overwhelming to some people even I was about to write it off as an old lady perfume but, as the day progresses and the scent develops on me, I love it even more.
This is an EDP so it’s pretty potent and stays on till the next day till you shower. The fragrance lingers even on the clothes I wear so I can say it’s not for the faint hearted. 😉
The fragrance blend seems more gourmand to me as I get strong and heady patchouli and bergamot in the beginning, which seems very strong. But, after an hour, these notes settle and mellow down to a more sensual and enigmatic mix of vanilla, sandalwood and chocolates. I love how complicated the notes are and make me feel so sophisticated. I would say that it’s a more mature fragrance. You could try it before you buy it.
Pros of Thierry Mugler Angel Eau de Parfum:
⦁ Sensual fragrance.
⦁ Lovely packaging.
⦁ Long lasting fragrance.
Cons of Thierry Mugler Angel Eau de Parfum:
IMBB Rating: 5/5
Would I Recommend Thierry Mugler Angel Eau de Parfum?
Yes, I recommend it highly to the ladies who love to socialize and get along with people. I would definitely recommend you to try and then buy.
Some trivia about the Crater lake is that it has deep blue color and water clarity. It’s all fresh water that filled up the volcanic crater through rain and snow. I am sharing some pics with you all to behold the beauty of this lake; it’s hard to believe how nature can have such immense beauty until you see it. Very mesmerizing. We took the 33 miles’ rim drive and loved every bit of it. It was our first long drive in our new car; the entire length of the journey was 800+ miles up and down.
