Lips: sensitive, tend to dry and become patchy
In this post, I will be sharing my views about Tom Ford Lips and Boys Lip Color in the shade Mitchell. The weather is a bit cool these days and it’s the season to wear some warm and dark colours. Read on to know more about this one.
Each transforming color and finish incites an insatiable desire to try more than one. The decadent wardrobe of rich and specially treated pigments blended to deliver pure color in ultra-kissable matte, cream and metallic finishes. Ultra rich, full-coverage, high-shine, lip colour that moisturises lips instantly and over time. Sheer delivers an irresistible semi-sheer effect that complements every skin tone. Matte is an ultra-kissable modern matte that delivers decadent color.
My Experience with Tom Ford Lips and Boys Lip Color Mitchell:
I thoroughly enjoyed using Tom Ford Richard Lips and Boys Lip Colour. I wanted to pick one more shade from this range and opted for Mitchell. This lip colour is packaged in a black and gold coloured clutch-sized lipstick case. The clutch-sized case is indeed very cute and attractive.
It closes firmly and is definitely travel-friendly. This lipstick case is then packed in a black coloured cardboard box. Overall, the packaging is totally adorable. Mitchell is listed under the mauve shade group and said to have a creamy texture. It’s is a muted, moderately dark plum with neutral to cool undertones.
It does have a semi-creamy texture, which gives a semi-matte finish to my lips. Does not spread or smudge during application. It has a moderately emollient texture that does not slide around and is very comfortable to wear. The pigmentation is quite good. One swipe gives an opaque finish to my pigmented lips.
The intensity can be built by reapplying. The lasting power is quite commendable as it lasts for five to six hours. It mildly lightens after drinking tea or coffee and having light snacks. It starts fading once I start ingesting food and heavy meals. It can be reapplied without removing the old lipstick.
It does not leave any ugly stains on the lips. It does not transfer. It does not dry or dehydrates my sensitive lips, which tend to become extra dry and patchy during winters. It also keeps my lips hydrated till it last and even after. It does not accentuate dry patches or dry skin.
It gives a smooth and silky finish to my lips. It can be used for evening outings, special occasions and also during daytime. Tom Ford keeps adding new shades to their lip collections, Mitchell is one of those new shades added to the Lips and Boys permanent range in 2016. In fact, I am obsessed with their 2017 Girl’s collection as well but sadly it’s limited edition!
