Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist Review

I usually wear makeup for a long duration because of long working hours and I prefer not to retouch my makeup. That’s the reason I am always on the lookout for products that can prolong the wear of my makeup or add a fresh look to my skin. Compact powders and face mists are the best ways to do so. I have tried several face mists, both drugstore and high end. Some have performed well while the others have failed to live up to my expectations, but still, I buy face mists every now and then. The face mist in this review is part of my Korean skin care haul – it’s the Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist.

My Experience with Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist:

I like the packaging of this product. In fact, most Korean products, especially stuff from Tony Moly come in adorable packaging and a major selling point. Packaging apart, I picked up this product also because Tony Moly is known for its skin care formulas. Secondly, the products are affordable. Thirdly and most importantly, they do not have an overwhelming ingredients list and less chemicals when compared to other affordable face mists.

“Pocket Bunny” is an apt name because of its size and appearance. It can easily fit into my daily handbag for quick spritzes, quick touch-ups, or to just freshen up my face. My face carry a fatigued appearance after a long day and a mild spritz of this product makes my skin appear livelier.

The product comes in a 60 ml bottle with a spray mechanism to dispense the product directly on to the face or on a cotton pad. The packaging appears sturdy and looks like it will last till I run out of the product. Most face mists can be applied before or after makeup, but I am yet to try the later part. It also comes in a “sleek” option which is for “oil controlling” and the “moist” one is to provide hydration to skin.

I mostly use it for the “7 skin method”, wherein I take a pump of product on my palm and dab it on to my face – I repeat this multiple times. This method is popular among Korean beauty enthusiasts since it helps skin absorb the toner better and add more moisture.

The product has a lovely mild fragrance which vanishes soon after; the best feature is that most affordable mists have a strong alcoholic smell which prevents me from reaching for them often, but this one triumphed in that aspect. It has no artificial color either, it feels just like water except that, unlike water, it sits on skin, adds hydration and a faint glow.

Pros of Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist:

  • It is an affordable face mist.
  • Comes in a good size bottle with a mister on top – perfect to carry in handbag for quick touch ups.
  • Has a very mild fragrance (I was expecting an alcoholic smell).
  • Has no artificial color.
  • Ingredient list is clearly disclosed.
  • It adds hydration and glow to skin.
  • It contains some essential extracts as well.

Cons of Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist:

  • Availability can be an issue for some, but some Korean websites do ship to India as well.
  • It does contain alcohol and other chemicals for the sake of preservation and other cosmetic purposes (but in very low percentages).
  • I wish the ingredients list had even fewer chemicals.

Verdict:
It is an affordable face mist which does what a face toner or mist is supposed to do – prep skin for further layering of skin care products, followed by makeup. It is perfect for those who need an affordable and potent toner.
