I’m back on IMBB and today we would be talking about how to use yogurt for hair growth. Yogurt is one of the most common ingredients found in almost every Indian household. It is not only good for digestion of food, but it is extremely beneficial for your skin and hair as well. Many experts believe that yoghurt is the perfect tonic for your hair as it helps prevent hair loss and boosts hair growth. It contains good enzymes and proteins which help to strengthen the roots, moisturises the hair and also boosts hair growth. Yogurt contains good antibacterial agents which relieve irritation and itchiness on the scalp.
So, here are some ways how you can use yoghurt for hair growth.
1. Curd, Henna Powder and Curry Leaves Powder:
Curd contains good enzymes which strengthen the hair follicle. Curry leaves contain antioxidants which prevent hair fall and promotes hair growth. The henna powder contains moisturising ingredients which help to keep your hair supple and hydrated. So take one bowl of curd and add two spoons of curry leaf powder and henna powder. Mix them together and apply on the scalp for 40-45 minutes. Rinse off with a mild shampoo and repeat the remedy 2-3 times in a week.
2. Curd and Egg Mask:
Egg contains essential proteins and vitamins which help to strengthen the hair roots, moisturise the hair and also keep your scalp healthy. In order to boost hair growth, take one bowl of yogurt and mix it with one egg. Add 1-2 spoons of honey and mix together. Apply on the scalp and wash off with water.
3. Yogurt and Olive Oil:
Both yogurt and olive oil prove beneficial in boosting hair growth. This hair mask keeps your scalp hydrated and is essential in preventing hair loss. Take one cup of yoghurt and add some olive oil to it. Mix together and apply on the damp hair. Wait for 20-30 minutes and wash off with water. Use this remedy twice or thrice in a week to get the best results.
4. Yogurt with Honey:
Honey contains natural humectants which help to nourish and moisturise your hair deeply. The antibacterial and moisturising properties in it help to promote healthy hair and also boost hair growth. Take one cup of yogurt and add 5-6 big spoons of honey to it. Mix together and apply on the scalp. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
5. Yogurt with Besan:
A combination of yogurt and besan is extremely beneficial in boosting hair growth. Besan or gram flour helps to deep cleanse the scalp and unclog the clogged pores. Take one cup of yoghurt and add some besan to it. Add 1-2 spoons of honey and mix together. Apply the hair mask and wash off after 30-40 minutes.
6. Yogurt and Camphor:
Yogurt and camphor, both of these ingredients are extremely beneficial in preventing hair loss and boosting hair growth in a person. In order to promote hair growth, you need to take one cup of yoghurt and add some camphor oil to it. Mix together and cover your scalp with this mixture. Let it sit for 30 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water later.
7. Curd, Onion Juice and Fenugreek Powder:
In case of severe hair loss problem, you should opt for using curd, onion juice and fenugreek powder. Onion juice contains a high amount of sulphur which prevents hair loss and fenugreek is known for its hair boosting properties. Take one cup of curd and mix some onion juice and fenugreek powder to it. Mix together and apply the mixture on the scalp. Rinse off with water.
