My Experience with VLCC 3D YouthBoost Sunscreen Gel Creme SPF 40 PA+++:
Packaging: It comes in a typical VLCC packaging. It is a squeezy tube which is made of plastic. The details are printed on the back side. It has a flip cap which opens and shuts with a click. The packaging is very basic and travel friendly. Initially, I thought it would be a gel-type of sunscreen, but it is a white-colored cream. The consistency is lightweight. It feels very light on the back of my hand, but somehow, it feels very heavy on my face. It is very weird but it is true. It makes my skin feel as if I’ve applied a layer of thick winter cream. And since it is super humid in Mumbai, it makes my skin feel sticky, oily and gross.
This sunscreen is perfect for winters or rainy season when it isn’t that hot and humid. Also, it is best suited for people with dry skin as it is so heavy and moisturizing, but one thing that I like about this sunscreen is that when I apply it on my skin, it gives a cooling sensation for about 5 seconds. It feels refreshing to apply it at first.
This sunscreen gets absorbed quickly into the skin without leaving white cast on the skin. It also has a really nice floral perfume like fragrance that I really love. I just wished it didn’t make my skin feel heavy and sticky, but I am going to use it when the climate gets a bit normal. However, I did not notice any of its claim coming true, like fading of dark spots, improving elasticity or boosting skin youth.

- Doesn’t work for me in summers.
- Not suitable for oily-skinned people.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend VLCC 3D YouthBoost Sunscreen Gel Creme SPF 40 PA+++?
I still feel that if used in cold climate, this will be a very good sunscreen for all. It is just not meant to be used in humid climate.
