Westinghouse Hot Air Brush Comfort Review

Westinghouse Hot Air Brush Comfort Review

A few months back, I was doing research on various ways by which I could get my hair straight and reduce the frizziness of my hair. I came across something called as hot air brush which I found to be interesting as it can dry my hair and at the same time, I can get the desired style (straight, curls or waves) on my hair. I was too excited and searched for this online and ordered one from Westinghouse, which was not expensive.  I was sold to the idea that I don’t have to hold the round brush in one hand and the hairdryer in other hand – and I am not good at that at all.  I have wavy and frizzy hair. I always try to search for tips n tricks to get decent looking hair without damaging my hair. Let’s see if this product worked for me as a good hair tool.

My Experience with Westinghouse Hot Air Brush Comfort:

It comes in a sturdy cardboard packaging which houses the product.  The hot air brush is made up of good quality plastic.  It comes with 3 brushes – Finger Diffuser, Brushes for volume, curls and waves. These brushes need to be attached to the main body as desired and can be easily inserted and removed.  There is a button on the body which when pressed releases the lock of the brush to be removed. It also has a sign on the body and the brushes to show where exactly they need to be inserted.  Such details are very convenience for the user. It has 3 settings – 1) high heat 2) low heat 3) cool shot (for setting the style). The air flows from the body of the air brush to the vents on the brush in order to dry the hair while we use the brush along the hair.

Coming to the performance, I have used it with and without the styling mousse. Without the styling mousse, when I wish to make my hair straight, it doesn’t hold the style at all. With mousse, it does hold up to some extent, but not completely. It also takes much longer to dry the hair compared to a hair dryer.  I faced huge hair fall problem while using the brush for volume as you need to pull the brush through the hair which is damp. My hair length is a bit above my waist line, so I consider it long enough. For drying this length of hair, it takes around 15 – 20 minutes.  It does not work well as a hair dryer and brush together.

It also needs to be mentioned here that it works very well for short hair, as in for my bangs. It gives nice volume and dries quickly when used with the styling mousse.  I have tried straightening as well as outwards curls with this hair gadget, but nothing was satisfactory. I tried straightening in the pic below, but as you can see, the result is not good.

No, I don’t want to repurchase from this brand at least.

IMBB Rating:

I bought a Remington anti frizz hair straightener which I have reviewed already. I also feel it causes less damage and very less hair fall than the hot hair brush.
