My Experience with Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner Red The Scene:
This lip liner comes in pretty, black retractable pencil form with a color-coded red cap. I like this travel-friendly pencil and it works so smoothly. There is no need to sharpen it and no wastage either. It’s quite affordable, too.
This range offers 12 shades but here in India you can find only 6 shades. I picked up the shade ‘Red The Scene’, which is a beautiful and bright true red shade for all skin tones. It has a warm undertone that looks beautiful and bright on the skin. I love such party-perfect red shades and it’s a very useful lip liner as we all love red on the lips.
It doesn’t have any shimmer either. This shade is well-pigmented and requires just one to two swipes for that perfect color payoff. It can hide lip pigmentation too. I am really amazed by its pigmentation.
This lip liner has a buttery soft texture that glides effortlessly on the lips and feels so smooth. It feels as if it’s gliding automatically on the lips, providing an even application. I can easily draw my lips and it defines the lines perfectly, thanks to its dreamy strokes.
The lip liner has a perfect matte finish that looks beautiful. It also feels lightweight on the lips and the shade blends easily with the other lip shades. The formula is hydrating and feels very comfortable, which means it never makes my lips feel dry or patchy.
If you have extremely dry, cracked lips, then you might feel a little dryness after a couple of hours, otherwise it is amazing, especially underneath a lipstick. Also, the color doesn’t transfer or smudge, it is totally waterproof as well. It sets to a perfect red stain-like formula which can last long without any mess. So it keeps the lip lines neat for long.
The color itself lasts around 5-6 hours and it can survive a meal as well. The color tends to fade from the centre of my lips after an oily meal, though. But it makes the lipstick stay on for longer and mess-free too. It is quite easy to remove and doesn’t settle into the fine lines or creases.
It will run out soon as the formula is very creamy and you get only 0.25 g of the product. Overall, I love the formula and the beautiful red shade. It feels extremely smooth and I love its matte finish. It’s totally worth it at this price point.
