I love Zoeva products. They are of good quality, well packaged and also quite affordable. Today I am reviewing Zoeva Strobe Gel Parhelia. Let’s see how it fared.

The unique, memory shape gel texture captures and diffuses the surrounding light, imparting a luminescent shimmer and leaving the skin with a natural, translucent finish and a light diffused 3D effect. Melting into the skin, the moisturizing lightweight formula can be layered for varying levels of intensity – from a natural-looking, sheer glow to intense strobing highlights for dramatic evening looks.
The formulation of the gel is enriched with vitamin E and is 100% free of animal-derived ingredients, fragrances, mineral oils, parabens and phthalates. Made in Italy.

My Experience with Zoeva Strobe Gel Parhelia:
The highlighter or strobe gel comes in a black cardboard packaging. Inside it is a cute little transparent pot with a black screw lid top. The shade of the product is visible from the bottom of the pot. The product has a lifetime of 12 months. The product has a gel consistency. One can just pick up a little product with a finger or a brush and then apply it to the high points of the face and also on the collarbone.
The best thing is that the gel gets back to its shape after digging out the product. There are no dents formed. This looks cool and clean every time you open the product to use. The product, when used on the skin, creates a slight cooling effect. The shade ‘Parhelia’ has been described as a golden strobe gel with fine gold glitter. It will suit a variety of skin tones.
The product does not shift or slide over time. It stays put for around 5 hours or so. After 5 hours or so, it fades slightly but the effect is not completely gone. If you are indoors the product lasts longer. The product kind of sticks to the skin. It is not creamy and feels like a gel to touch. So, if not spread well it tends to stick to in one particular area. It takes less time to dry completely, which makes it slightly difficult to work with. One has to be quite quick while applying this. Also, you will get a better application with a brush than fingers.
I have used it over a foundation with powder on top and it did not really look great. You can layer it for a starker effect but I feel it looks artificial. But I am new to highlighters and strobing, so it’s a matter of personal choice. Overall, it’s a good product which you can use on the cheekbones, brow bones, tip of your nose, cupid’s bow, collarbone etc.

Cons of Zoeva Strobe Gel Parhelia:
• Digging into the pot is not hygienic
• Excessive layering will make it look cakey
• Fingers do not give a flawless finish
