Today I am here with a sweet treat for you all. It is a review of a body mist from Bath & Body Works’ signature collection called merry marshmallow kiss. I purchased this again in Singapore when there was a major clearance sale going on. This is their 2013 holiday collection range and hence I assume was on clearance in 2015 holiday season!
Product Description:
Fluffy marshmallow, gilded pear and winter jasmine, whipped with white amber and sparkling bergamot
• Top Notes: Luminous Pear, Sparkling Bergamot, Succulent Raspberry.
• Mid Notes: White Velvet Jasmine, Creamy Paperwhites, Osmanthus Petals.
• Dry Notes: White Amber, Glowing Cedar, Fresh Tree Moss , Vanilla Extract.
Price: USD 14 (I got it for SGD 10!)
My Experience With Bath & Body Works Merry Marshmallow Kiss Signature Fragrance Fine Mist:
The first thing that came to my mind when I read marshmallow was that it would smell like it! Well, but it definitely does not, atleast not at first. However, the smell is amazing! It is an all year round smell that can be worn every day, anywhere. Yes it is that multipurpose! To me the pear smell is the prevalent note at first, but it dries down to a nice vanilla marshmallow kind of sweet smell.
The staying power is not at all good on me. It hardly stays on for 30 minutes leaving a faint fragrance which also vanishes in the next 30 minutes. Though if sprayed too much, it will linger on your clothes for half a day. But it comes in very handy when you need a lift up after a dull day at work or when you want to go someplace directly after work. It is very refreshing and sweet!
It comes in a beautiful blue colour, transparent plastic bottle with a regular spray. It is quite sturdy and can be carried anywhere. Infact, this always remains in my office bag, as I like splashing the fragrance on me when I feel dull.
Though I feel the name is mis-leading, it should be titled as ‘Sweet Pear’ or something.
Pros of Bath & Body Works Merry Marshmallow Kiss Signature Fragrance Fine Mist:
• A lift me up kind of fragrance, sweet and refreshing.
• Sturdy packaging which can be easy to carry.
• Not too expensive.
Cons of Bath & Body Works Merry Marshmallow Kiss Signature Fragrance Fine Mist:
• The fragrance does not last for a long time-BIGGEST con.
• Since you have to use too much/often it will get over soon.
• Title can be termed as misleading.
• Availability .
Final Verdict:
If you are not fond of sweet fragrances, then this is a definite skip for you. Even though the cons are more than the pros, I love the fragrance and feel you must try it if you like such a fragrance. It might just last longer on you! And I don’t mind splashing it again and again 😀
