Victoria’s Secret Sweet Temptation Body Mist
Family of Sweet Temptation products
Sweet Temptation is sweet paradise. An island fantasy. Pampering. Tempting. Sexy. Just what you needed.
From the Victoria’s Secret Garden Collection, Sweet Temptation is a fruity-floral fusion with notes of apricot, grapefruit, and lily of the valley.
What girly girl doesn’t like Victoria’s Secret beauty stuff? They’re pink, pretty, and they often smell nice. Not to mention they’re affordable. I’m always delighted when a friend or a relative comes home from the US and they bring me lotions and fragrances from Victoria’s Secret. Last year my cousin-in-law in Canada sent me the Sweet Temptation Refreshing Body Mist. This particular scent has actually been discontinued and cannot be purchased on the Victoria’s Secret website, however it is still available on Amazon and Ebay, as well as discount outlets and some brick-and-mortar stores.
My bottle of Victoria’s Secret Sweet Temptation
The bottle is big—it’s 250 ml or 8.4 fl oz. Even if I spray it many times each use, I never can seem to finish a bottle of their body mist. It’s a bit bulky to bring along while travelling, but I do think it looks pretty, and I like how it’s simple and girly with its flower design, but does not look cheap.
It is a body mist and is meant to only lightly scent the skin, though I’ve found most of the Victoria’s Secret body mists I’ve tried to be pretty strong, and Sweet Temptation is no exception. Two or three sprays in the air are enough for me; otherwise this fruity floral fragrance starts to smell cloying. It has decent lasting power too, and stays on my skin for a couple of hours.
The most prominent note I detect on the opening of this fragrance is the grapefruit, which is a scent I like. The grapefruit smells mild, fresh, and delicate. Then the scent moves on to include florals, namely lily of the valley, and at this point it begins to smell a bit heavy for me. This concoction also turns a lot sweeter and fruitier as more minutes pass, and actually gets too sweet for my taste, and at times it sort of reminds me of jelly candy. This of course is only my personal preference. I guess I simply just like my fruity-floral fragrances to be on the light, not too sweet side. My husband, on the other hand, actually likes this and thinks it smells pleasant.
I wouldn’t be surprised to smell this fragrance on a teenage girl, but of course anyone can wear this scent. If you are a fruity-floral fragrance lover on the lookout for an inexpensive scent (the 8.4 fl oz bottle of Victoria’s Secret Refreshing Body Mist costs $9 each, and even cheaper during store specials), this would be a good choice. I would totally recommend Sweet Temptation to anyone looking for a sweet, simple, girly, fruity-floral scent. Sweet Temptation also comes in eau de toilettes, body lotions, hand creams, and body washes, so you can purchase and layer these products if you end up falling in love with the scent. On the other hand, if you do not like fragrances that are very fruity, sweet, or if you dislike fruity-floral fragrances in general, I suggest you do not try this fragrance.
