e.l.f. Brownstone Brightening Eye Color Review

Hi all!
I had such a great time trying so many new products from this brand! I bought two of these palettes. Let’s get started with ‘Brownstone’

Price: I got it for 1$

My experience with e.l.f. Brownstone Brightening Eye Color:

Packaging: This quad comes in a white and transparent plastic packaging like most of the elf products. It is tiny and great for travels. The quad has a small mirror and a dual ended sponge applicator. The transparent lid opens and closes with a nice and audible click and has silver details. The packaging is very minimal yet classy.

Color/Pigmentation: These shades do not have any name to them so we will refer them as shade 1, 2 etc.
Shade 1: It is an off white, light champagne color. It looks super natural when blended and used as a brow bone high light or as a cheek highlight. It has a metallic reflect to it and has very fine shimmer that gives a natural glowy effect to the skin.

Shade 2: It is a taupe brown shade which looks super natural when swatched on my hand but doesn’t show up on my lids. Such a color never shows up on my lids no matter how much product I put! Even this one looks super beautiful when blended and is a great crease color.

Shade 3: This one is a greyish brown color. It’s a cool tone shade and is great for soft Smokey eye look. I really love this color, but it doesn’t look that great on my lids! (

Shade 4: The star shade of the quad in my opinion, this one is a soft muted black. I love this shade so much! I already have this shade (Essence Black Goddess Mono Eye shadow & in one of my LA Colors Palette) but somehow I find this a little bit different than others.

These eye shadows have super fine shimmer in them but trust me when I tell you, when you blend them, you cannot see the shimmers. They all give a very subtle and natural glowy look. The pigmentation is buildable.

Texture: These shadows might seem powdery, but if you blend it shadows well, there is no fallout whatsoever! The go on very smoothly on the lids and do not look cakey at all! They blend in like a dream!

Staying power: These stay on my lids for 4 hours without a primer. A primer could definitely increase the staying power by a couple or so hours!

Final Verdict:
This palette has some really basic eye shadows, which are a must have for any look. Definitely a must have palette, especially for beginners. This is a palette that you can never go wrong with!
