ELF Jet Black Expert Liquid Liner Review

This is my first eyeliner from ELF and I bought this product because I wanted to try out something new and secondly, I needed a liquid eye liner.  Read on further for more details about this product.

My Take on ELF Jet Black Expert Liquid Liner:

I have loads of black eyeliners in the form of pencils, gels, liquid liners and so on, but that never deters me from buying more black eyeliners because a girl can’t have enough of these black beauties – just with a sweep they transform the way you look. This product is not at par with the other eyeliners that I have used in past, but still worth $2.

Packaging:  This liner comes in a rather small conical jar with just one fourth of the packaging holding the product. Remaining three fourth of the bottle is a cap which holds a slim, flat brush which is not stiff and can be used like a tiny paint brush. The brush has very fine bristles that can give you a precise thin line and is perfect to make winged eyeliner look.

Color: A solid black color which gives a translucent line in a single swipe and also it is not the blackest black, I have used eyeliners with better color intensity.

Pigmentation:  Good pigmentation for a liquid liner, but one stroke does not give an opaque line as I expect from most of the eyeliners; I have to wait for the line to dry out and then add another layer and repeat this process for a few times to get a solid black line.

Shimmer and Shine:  It does not have shimmer particles, but gives a satin black finish; I would rather go for something with either matte or shimmer finish, and not an intermediate one.

Staying Power:  It gives a good wear time.  This liner has a few minor flaws, but low wear time is not one of them. It does not break or flake off and stays intact till I remove it at the end of the day with my makeup remover. It is fairly water proof and sweat proof and holds well on to the lids.

This liner is only for $2 and worth every penny because the cost and performance of this product overshadows the minor flaws it has. I really enjoyed wearing this product and creating winged eyeliner looks with it.

• Easily available.

Cons of ELF Jet Black Expert Liquid Liner:

• Quantity should have been a little more.
• It is not blackest black liner.
• Pigmentation could have been better.

Would I Repurchase ELF Jet Black Expert Liquid Liner?
No, but would still try out other eyeliners from this brand because they perform so well and so easy on my pocket. I do recommend this product to readers, especially to those who love budget shopping.
