Price and Quantity:

$1 for 1.8 grams.

Shelf Life:

3 months after opening.

Packaging:

It comes with a soft felt tip. The tip is quite pointed and hence drawing fine lines is easier.

My Take on ELF Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black:

Color:

You may require 2 -3 swipes for full pigmentation (for jet black color).

Black Eyeliner

The finish is quite glossy. It isn’t way too glossy and that’s what I like about it the most.  The liner dries up very fast on the lid.

Staying Power:

I am very impressed with its staying power. It stays on for about 8 plus hours on my lids without flaking or peeling as most glossy eyeliners do.  It is waterproof. I splashed water on my face a couple of times and still it didn’t budge. Only when I rubbed (hard) my wet eyes, did the eyeliner fade away, but it didn’t trickle down on my cheeks.

The pen would dry out soon if you do not use it with care. So, do not keep it open under the fan or air for a long time. When you store the eyeliner pen, store it upright (the felt tip facing downwards) and that will help in keeping the eyeliner from drying out.

It may dry up or finish off in 2 months or so if you use it every day, but then anyway, you have to dispose it within 3 months after opening it, besides for $1, I won’t complain.

I love it when I finish off my makeup products within the time frame as I hate it when I have to throw any of them when they become unusable, but then I have to do that most of the times, especially blushes and lipsticks.

Pros of ELF Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black:

  • Super affordable (if you buy it for $1 in the US).
  • Waterproof.
  • Doesn’t smudge at all.
  • Does not feel heavy after application.
  • Good quality, soft, felt-tip applicator.

Cons of ELF Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black:

  • The felt tip frays a little if you use it harshly (don’t press it harshly while you apply the eyeliner).
  • Limited availiabilty.  Although, it is available on some e-commerce websites here in India, the price is quite high. I saw this for around Rs. 269 on one of the websites 🙁

IMBB Rating:

5/5.  Eyeliner application got super easy for me with this.

Will I Repurchase ELF Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black?

Yes, definitely I will.

Do I Recommend ELF Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black?

Yes, great for people who don’t like to apply eyeliner with brush applicator.
