I really love pink lip colours and I am totally into experimenting with different shades of pink these days. This is a very new kind of pink that I picked from the Faces Lip Creme range – a very unique lip creme which cannot be easily duped. Scroll down to know what kind of a pink is it exactly. I have already reviewed a few shades from this range and this is the last one out of the lot.

Faces Ultime Pro Lip Creme is an absolutely super soft, smooth and moisturizing lip gloss that promises one stroke hi shine coverage. It is completely opaque, highly pigmented, does not transfer, bleed or feather and stays on for hours at a stretch. Inspired by the colors of mesmerizing cocktails.

Lip Creme gives you the color intensity of the lipstick and luster of a gloss. This non-sticky Lip Creme comes with a doe-foot sponge applicator. It picks up the right quantity of the product and helps in ach.

My Experience with Faces Ultime Pro Pink-A-Colada Lip Creme:

My lip collection is expanding day by day and lip creme is one thing that I had never tried previously. I used to adore that liquid lipstick feel when I used to read magazines so I had to start somewhere! Hence I picked some new lip crèmes from Faces. I picked up 4 shades and this is the lightest pink shade out of the lot.

Packaging:
The lip crème comes in a charcoal grey box which has all the details of the shade over it. It has a small sticker at the bottom with the shade name and that makes it easy to identify the shade. What makes it even easier is the small window available on the packaging. I can easily see the lip gloss and the shade through that window. The lip crème comes in a cylindrical sleek bottle loaded with the lip crème. The bottle is a see-through one, and hence I can easily see the shade of the crème. These are very handy and unbreakable. Most of the lip glosses or crèmes have cylindrical wands, but this one has a flat wand which is also equally convenient for application.

Shade, Texture and Consistency:
The shade “Pink-A-Colada” is a bright Barbie pink shade. It is a lighter version of the hot pink colour with slight blue undertones. It is extremely feminine and looks very similar to the pink-a-colada cocktail! It looks like the cocktail because the cranberry is further diluted with coconut water and essence. Similarly, this shade is made lighter than the cranberry shade. It is a tropical and a beautiful beach shade which keeps you fresh and glowing all the time. It is the perfect pink because I love pinks, but it is not the right one for my lips.

It has a very milky touch initially which makes it look very weird on me. I think this is not something that will complement Indian skin tones well, but people with very fair skin can carry this. It washes out my skin tone a bit and does not look appealing at all. We have better pinks to try out actually! It spreads very smoothly on my lips without much effort. It settles into the fine lines and that is very noticeable because the appearance is also very patchy. It gives a super glossy look which adds to the look.

The lip crème is good enough, but there is one disappointment with this that cannot be ignored. It bleeds and transfers a lot. It bleeds very badly from the corners of the lips and from my bottom lip. Plus, it being a bold colour, looks really unappealing and I have to prep it every now and then. It looks like I am someone who doesn’t know to apply a lip colour and have applied it anyhow. I don’t really like this one because even though the other variants bleed too, atleast the shades are awesome. But with this, the shade and the quality both are not up to the mark.

Staying Power:
It stays put for 6-7 hours and 5-6 hours with a few snacks. With an entire meal, it stays for 4-5 hours with a bright stain on my lips and the glossiness goes away. But it works the worst with glasses of water because it transfers very badly. I feel like my lips went on the glass! 😛 The entire colour sticks to the glass making it look very ugly, so I have to sip water little by little each time.

I liked the other variants, but this isn’t my cup of tea!

Pros of Faces Ultime Pro Pink-A-Colada Lip Creme:

• Amazing variety of shades to choose from, ranging from corals, pinks, reds to purples
• Available all around and at an affordable cost
• The shade is a glamorous Barbie pink which instantly adds a girly pout
• The consistency is very smooth and the shade is intensely pigmented
• It is very similar to the texture of a liquid lipstick, but with added dose of glossiness
• It can totally be the eye candy and make you look trendy and chic
• It stays 6-7 hours followed by a stain with light munching and for 4-5 hours if you have a full meal; after 4-5 hours the glossiness goes away, but the stain looks beautiful

Cons of Faces Ultime Pro Pink-A-Colada Lip Creme:

• It bleeds a lot from the corners of my lips and bottom lip. which looks very ugly and unappealing
• It transfers badly to the glasses
• It will highlight the chapped portions once it becomes a stain
• This shade complements only very fair skin tones; not suitable for Indian beauties

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Faces Ultime Pro Pink-A-Colada Lip Creme?
No, not at all! This may look very beautiful in the swatches and when you swipe it on the hand at the counter. But in reality, it looks very different on the face. Not worth the money!

Conclusion:
I would love to experiment more with lip crèmes as they are an awesome creation. Although some shades were hits and some misses, I really loved the concept of being inspired from cocktail drinks – so quirky and funky!
