So, this is my first ever post on IMBB! I will be reviewing an Inglot Lipstick in the shade 107, which is a bright orange colour with some gold shimmer. This is my only lipstick from Inglot and I have to say, I really love this lipstick. When I entered the store, I wanted to buy a product that pushed me out of my comfort zone. And in like any other makeup store, I found myself at the lipstick counter, swatching all their lipsticks on my hand. Finally, I decided to go with #107 because it was such a bright bubbly orange – a shade I had never tried.

Price:

Rs. 550 for 4.5 g/0.16 US OZ (when I had bought it).

Shade/Color/Texture:

With a single swipe, you get a nice coral colour, which you can build up to a stronger orange with multiple swipes. It has a good colour pay off. The lipstick has some gold shimmer in it, which, although visible, doesn’t look glittery. It’s a very finely-milled gold shimmer. The shimmer gets more visible as you build up layers. You can clearly see this from the swatches.

The texture of the lipstick is very creamy, not drying at all. However, due to the shimmer in the lipstick, it does settle into the lines of my lips after a few hours. It’s not marketed as a long-wear lipstick, but I found that the color lasted around 4 hours on my lips without retouching anything. The lipstick glides on very smoothly on my lips; this is also partly because of the creamy texture of the lipstick. I absolutely love the fact that it is not tested on animals and is paraben free! How wonderful!

This shade is perfect for those who want to try a bright, bold colour, which is perfect for the summer time! The best thing is that, if you don’t like the look of the bright orange on your lips, you can use a light hand to get a very attractive coraly-orange shade. My lips are not very pigmented, but I find that even with a light hand, this lipstick gives me a good coverage.

It is packaged in a “solid and elegant metal case” as claimed on the website. I really like the sleek packaging. It looks very glossy and looks very classy. The lid of the lipstick closes firmly. The overall quality of the lipstick is almost at par with those from more higher-end brands like MAC.

• Shimmer in lipstick may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
• It has become more expensive with recent price hike.
• Not a very easy colour to pull off.
• Can make teeth look a little yellow.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Inglot Lipstick #107?

No, because since this is such a bright colour, (one I wouldn’t be wearing very often), I will not be running out of it any time soon.
