Today, I have another Kryolan product to review, which is the Kryolan Skinliner in Black (No. 10). This was the product I was most excited about among all the other products from my haul. The “semi-transparent” tag caught my attention, and considering how pigmented this is, I couldn’t wait to enhance my eyes with this.  This collection has 12 fabulous shades, all of which can be used not just for the eyes but for various other uses like drawing tattoos, makeup detailing, as lip liners and for other costume makeup.

Product Claims:

Skinliner represents a new concept for precise makeup lines on the face and body and also serves as a perfect lip and eyeliner. Skinliner is applied easily and conveniently. The soft silicone tip draws a precise line and the color ink demonstrates excellent adherence to the skin, without running. Waterproof.  Kryolan Eye Makeup Remover is recommended for removal of waterproof Skinliner.

My Take on Kryolan Black Skinliner:

The Skinliner is basically a silver pen that looks almost like a marker, even in size. The tip of the liner draws with great precision and picks the right amount of color. I love doing “winged eyes” with this, it makes the job seem really easy.

I love the pigmentation that this offers, it is very black and intense. Since it is “semi-permanent,” you need to put some effort to take off the product with a remover, but what’s funny is that the liner runs away with water. Yes, it is not waterproof when the company claims it to be waterproof.

Since it not being waterproof gives us an advantage of easy removal, I am okay with it as I was worried about how I would remove it every day.

I absolutely love the quality and the precision. It looks the same even after 8 hours and I see the color intensity reducing only after 10 hours, so that should speak a lot about its staying power.

Pros of Kryolan Black Skinliner:

• Amazing staying power for more than 8 hours.
• Great precision with the tip.
• Intense black color.
• A multi-purpose product.
• Inexpensive.
• Good quality.

Cons of Kryolan Black Skinliner:

• Not waterproof.
• Not available everywhere.

A product that they say can be used for drawing tattoos is not waterproof, that I think is the only drawback, but otherwise, the Skinliner is a fab performer. It is one of the best pen liners that I have used. For the price and the quality, it is worth a try. Makes my job very easy!
