I have recently shifted to Chennai and the first thing I asked Neha was where is the Kryolan store. I was so eager to check out the store as we used to get some hand-picked selected stuff in Kolkata. Inside the store was a huge array of colors and some very interesting stuff like the fake blood, body glitters and so on. If you have Kryolan store in your city you must check it out. It is paradise for makeup lovers. I picked up two random stuff and this lip-liner is one of them. Though Kryolan names it as face liner it is actually a lip liner. The SA explained these liners can be used to draw on face and hence the name.

My Experience with Kryolan Faceliner #35

Packaging:

It is a sharpen-able wooden pencil. It is a LONG pencil which will last me a little more than forever. The body is pretty basic navy blue with color coded base. Easy to spot if you have a lot of lip liners in your stash. The outer paper carton has all the details about the product. On the pencil there is the number mentioned which can come handy when you pick up more than one shade.

Texture:

Initially the pencil is bit rough but on sharpening once it becomes your ideal lip liner. There is no tugging or pulling on application. But when I used this first time I was disappointed as it was a majorly dry pencil on the lips. Now it has become my everyday makeup tool. I am kind of addicted to this pencil.

Pigmentation:

I picked up this shade to go with all my neutrals as I finished up my Colorbar nude lip liner in the shade 007. I must say if you want your lip liners to be super creamy then you might be disappointed, but my idea of getting this lip liner was to create a base for my neutral lipsticks and hence I am very much satisfied with the pigmentation it gives.

Shade:

This is a typical nude shade, pinkish brown to be precise. You can pair it with almost all lip colors unless you are wearing something like MAC Myth or MAC Saint Germain. The swatch on bare skin is the exact shade of the lip liner.

It might seem a bit expensive for a lip liner but you are getting a lot of product at this price and this pencil is so long that the price is totally justified. Sharpening does not lead to much product wastage as it is a wooden pencil. I believe the wax bodied pencils tend to lose much product in the process of sharpening. In the lip swatch I have topped the lip liner with a clear balm.
