Kryolan Dermacolor Fixing Powder Review

Kryolan Dermacolor Fixing Powder

Hello Ladies!

I know I am writing a review after ages and trust me I’ve missed IMBB a lot. I was busy with my internship and preparation and had absolutely no time for myself. But I am back now with a 45 day vacation and I have all the time in the world to take care of my beauty and to HAUL!

So one day after my last exam, I went makeup shopping and bought myself too much of amazing stuff to compensate for all the hard-work I put in during my intern. 😛

Here’s one beauty, Kryolan Dermacolor Fixing Powder.

I have already reviewed their Dermacolor Camouflage Creme and Fixing Spray. So this is one more stunner from the Dermacolor range and I am highly impressed with it. Read on to find out more.

Price: INR 400 for 20g

My Take on Kryolan Dermacolor Fixing Powder:

This fixing powder is basically used to fix the DC Camouflage Creme. It is very fine and smooth in texture, flies off all over the place every time I open it but that is the nature of almost all such powders so you should get yourself to be okay with that.

The Camouflage Creme, especially in the summers does not sit matte on my skin mainly because my skin type is oily. So when I applied the Fixing Powder, I was amazed to see how well it absorbed all the oil and set my skin matte. It does not alter the shade of your foundation beneath. It is almost like a translucent powder that gives no color. The skin stays oil free for more than 5 hours. You could be expecting more but in scorching heat like this, 5 hours is just commendable. That only means that the product will work better in the other seasons. (How good does ‘oil-free-skin’ sound? You could look fresh for longer than usual!)

For the price, there’s a generous amount of powder in there. It’s all easy to apply, spreads and sets easily. You need not worry about your concealer getting worn off while applying the powder with a brush. It’s just too quick and easy to use.

I don’t like the packaging though, looks like something that has walked out of an old, boring, orthodox doctor’s clinic.

You need not obviously use it just with DC range products, you could use it with your regular foundation and concealer but it’s just that it works better with the DC Camouflage Creme.

Pros of Kryolan Dermacolor Fixing Powder:

• Makes skin oil free for more than 5 hours.
• Makes the skin look smooth and perfectly matte.
• Not too pricey.
• Quick and easy to work with.
• Great quantity.

Cons of Kryolan Dermacolor Fixing Powder:

• Availability.
• Flies off all over every time the lid is opened. (you can manage though)

Verdict: This is another product I am completely satisfied with. I have always had high expectations of products from Kryolan and this one didn’t disappoint me in anyway. Did what it claims. Get it the moment you find it!

Stay beautiful and take care! :*

    1. DC range products though are not really for everyday use.. but they’re great. I use the concealer and this powder everyday though..problematic skin *waaa* *waaa*

    1. I am using this almost everyday… and it will sure work in place of a compact..just that it doesn’t offer coverage because it almost shows up no color!

  2. its really good , have been using it for past 10 yr and makeup stays well….specially if you have oily eyelid or for concealing can try …

i prefer powder then fixing spray though .. i agree too that powder flys when u open the lids..trick is transfer it in some small travel size pot or small tub and take along…
