Hello beautiful ladies,
Recently, Lakme has launched a new range of cosmetics called 9 to 5 and it is really attracting me, but for now, I am still getting used to using Lakme products. After using Lakme’s Enrich Satin Lip Color in 323, I really wanted to try some other shades. Although, I didn’t like the previous one much, but I thought of giving it a second try and so I ordered another lipstick from the same line. This time its shade number 137 and it is a shade of brown.
Lakme’s Satin Enrich is one of their oldest lines which can easily be told from the packaging. The lipstick comes in an all maroon packaging with a small golden strip on the junction where the base and the lid meet..
No ingredients are mentioned on the lipstick, but the description says that it contains sunscreens, vitamins and olives.
Cast a spell in satin. Rich color takes life in a luxuriously creamy stick that brings satin to your lips. Enriched with sunscreens, vitamins and the goodness of olives, your lips will have a story to share. Indulge in a pod of beautiful shades ranging from floral pinks to shimmering peaches.
- Rich in olives and vitamins.
- Keeps your lips soft and smooth.
My Take on Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Color in #137:
137 is a light frosty brown with loads of shimmer particles in it. I am neither fond of frosty shades nor do I like shimmers, but this particular one have so many sparkle particles which makes it look absolutely beautiful in the packaging, so I brought it without thinking about how will it look on me, or whether I will like it or not. I brought it only because of the way it looked.
This shade is decently pigmented, 2 swipes are required to make the color visible on the lips (especially if they are pigmented), but the shimmers are easily visible in a single swipe. The shimmers are really difficult to remove but I still love them. The lipstick is transferable on surfaces but as it is a light shade, it only leaves a frosty shine and loads of shimmers on the surface. I am not comfortable by the way it smells, it has a weird smell, but thankfully the smell does not persist once the lipstick is applied.
I do not have any complaints with the texture of the lipstick; it is smooth to apply and does not dry lips but as it does not hydrate them much, I prefer to apply a gloss over the lipstick or a balm beneath it.
Pros of Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Color in #137:
- Color looks beautiful in the packaging with loads of shimmers.
- Smooth to apply.
- It neither dries lips nor moisturizes them. If there were no shimmers, the lipstick would have felt really light on lips.
- Has sunscreen.
Cons of Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Color in #137:
- Frosty color.
- Strange smell.
- Shimmers are difficult to remove.
- Packaging can be improved.
- No names for the colors, they are only divided into pinks, browns and reds and maroons which further are separated into numbers.
- No list of ingredients.
Would I Repurchase Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Color in #137?
No, I will not buy it again. There are many options available in the market and I would love to explore something else. Presently, I have my eyes on the 9 to 5 lip colors
Do I Recommend Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Color in #137?
If you like shimmers, this is an amazing shade for you, otherwise I don’t think you will like it.
