Today, I have another shade from the L’Oreal Wet Shine Stain called Pink Resistance.  It’s an awesome lip product. I just love the L’Oreal Colour Caresse range.  Well, the only con I found in them is that the color doesn’t appear the same on the lips as it’s in the tube.  More details about this product follows 🙂

INR 595, but I got it for Rs. 506 in an online discount offer.

Packaging:

The gloss comes in a rectangular golden colored tube; there is a transparent section just at the neck and mouth of the tube, that’s actually the color detection area. The section has a small bar with the brand name written on it and the shade name is written on the cap. The fluffy and tear drop-shaped applicator of this stain is really amazing. It applies the stain so evenly and precisely, even on thin lips. The applicator has a cavity or loop in between and it’s multipurpose, as it helps to soak the excess product in it and if you need some extra color, you can mildly press the applicator on lips and you will get the extra amount of color you need, without dipping the applicator again and again in the bottle.

My Experience with L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Pink Resistance:

Shade: “Pink Resistance” is a coral pink color, with very micro mini dark pink, silver and golden colored shimmers in it. They are pretty much visible in the bottle and on the lips too, but they are not loud at all. They add extra shine and sparkle to the stain. The color appears very close to the shade “Venus,” but whereas Venus was a peachy pink shade, “Pink Resistance,” is a true coral pink color. Initially, it would appear pinker on lips, but it turns out be a coral color later on. The shade is perfect to wear every day, it will suit every skin tone and looks superb on my fair to medium skin tone.

Texture: The texture of this stain is super smooth and creamy like butter, just melts on the lips. The formula is gel based, it feels water based like a stain and there is glossiness, like a gloss in it. The application is very airy, goes on so lightly and effortlessly on lips; it’s extremely lightweight and feathery on lips, like you’re wearing nothing on your lips, there is no sort of waxy or stickiness in the gloss. The formula is very much hydrating, like it claims.

Pigmentation and Finish:  Though the stain doesn’t have the opacity and thickness like a lipstick, it’s decently pigmented being a subtle, light shade. Though the shade is a little sheer, I found that it’s a little better in terms of pigmentation and coverage, comparing to the shade “Rose On and On.” Pigmented lips would need 2 -3 coats of the stain to cover lips nicely. The stain has really very glossy and wet kind of finish.

Staying Power:  The staying power of the stain part is really good, it lasted on me for 7+ hours, though the glossiness of the gloss and also the freshly applied color fades a bit after 4 hours or heavy meals, but the stain does last long and also keeps lips hydrated throughout. The color is transfer proof up to a great extent and also the stain is completely waterproof, also survives heavy meals. I did my lunch wearing it, but the color was still there on my lips.

Pros of L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Pink Resistance:

• The shade is very nice coral pink color, perfect to wear on an every day basis.
• The shade will compliment every skin tone.
• Texture is gel based and creamy like butter, just melts on lips.
• The application is very smooth and airy.
• Formula is very hydrating, does provide hydration to lips for 6 hours.
• The texture is very lightweight on lips, feels like nothing on the lips.
• Being a gloss-cum-stain, it gives a decent amount of color on the lips, I won’t complain about the sheer coverage.
• Packaging looks very classy and travel friendly.
• The gloss won’t turn patchy, does not make lips extremely dry when it fades away.
• Staying power is amazing up to 4-5 hours, but the stain lasts for a good 7 hours.
• Survives heavy meals, waterproof and transfer proof.

Cons of L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Pink Resistance:

• The only con I found in the gloss is that the color on my lips is not exactly the color on lips. You will not able to guess how the color will come out on your lips.
• The lighter shade turns out to be a little sheer, so pigmented lips should opt for the darker shades.
• Availability in India.

Would I Recommend L’Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Pink Resistance?

Yes, these stains are among the best stains cum gloss I have ever come through. They surely are worth a try, though I think the shades haven’t launched yet in India.  I will surely buy the other shades.
